 Hello and welcome to the heart-breaking sale of my Chevy Avalanche Pick-Up. the wife wants to move so I've promised I'll 'try' (reluctantly?) to sell my truck (May take cheaper old 50's pickup or van in p/ex. subject to eBay rules of course ie: you buy mine and I buy yours) there is so much to tell you about this vehicle I don't know where to start so. to avoid rambling on forever I'll just highlight the main points and then you can ask me a question or come and see it if you need any more information.

This vehicle is SO VERSATILE. just some feature points.
The 'Mid-Gate' section that separates the cab from the cargo area folds down to make it like a huge estate car!Removable SNUGTOP canopy/topper just fitted. imported pre-painted from the USA. 3 months to get here and almost £3. 00!Factory TENT included. yes that's right. a fitted tent (see pics). fantastic bit of kit. fits perfectly to the back of the truck and with the mid-gate. tailgate and rear seats folded down gives you a length of about 12 feet?Original factory. 3 section removable bed cover also included in case you want to put it back to a pick-up for summer :-). when it is in pick-up mode there are 2 huge lockable side storage boxes which can even be used to carry frozen food. cans etc - just fill them with ice and this will drain away out of the drain holes underneath as it melts!
About the truck.
Bullet-proof 350 V8 'Vortec' Engine (5. 00cc). Column change automatic with switchable 'Towing' mode. sounds beautiful through the twin side exit Stainless Steel Exhausts
Z66 2 wheel drive model makes it far more economical that the 4wd. does around 15mpg which equates to around 27mpg when running on gas
Brand new. top of the range. full Prins LPG system which cost £2. 00. 00 fitted earlier this year to replace the rubbish one that was fitted. also fitted with Flash-lube lubrication system (although not really needed on this vehicle. better safe than sorry) For those of you that are not familiar with LPG don't listen to uninformed gossip. the car starts up on petrol and automatically switches to gas when warm (around a quarter of a mile from cold for me). you just fill it and forget it. Lpg cost is between 65p - 79p per litre. now available at virtually ALL Shell stations and many others. 100 Litre tank fitted underneath to maximise cargo area. filler discretely placed near all the towing equipment.
Recent major service at David Boatright Partnership at a cost of £1813. 39. absolutely everything that needed replacing was done. brake discs. pads. shoes all round. all drive belts. transmission fluid and filters. as well as all the normal service replacement items. New fuel pump also fitted recently at a cost of £448. 38

Options and Extras.

Non-factory extras include

Kenwood slide-out touch-screen DVD system with Bluetooth (music and hands free). built in Sat-Nav. Will include Brodit iPhone cradle if required. allows you to play your phone music controlled from the stereo. also keeps the phone charged (can also play phone videos etc on screen if you have the 4 or 4S as 5 doesn't have the video functionality). has input for reversing camera if required. I didn't fit one as I thought they were a little ugly. Stereo has been built in using a custom made. illuminated bracket from the States ($300).
Massive 23" wheels with new tyres fitted recently (spare is a standard steel wheel with a very good tyre)Snugtop canopy as above. fully insulated and lined. factory painted. 3 keys. opening privacy glass windowsPlease note that the raised 'Chevrolet' lettering on the tailgate has recently had silver vinyl lettering added and is not shown in some of the pictures. this can easily be peeled off if not to the new owner's taste but I thought "Hey. if you got it. flaunt it"

As for factory options. it would probably be easier to list what it hasn't got.

Although the vehicle doesn't look it she is twelve years old and does have a few very minor imperfections. things like stone-chips. bumper scuffs etc that were on the vehicle when I bought it and are these are very minimal but just like to be up-front so that you know what you're getting. my reason for not getting them repaired is just that this is deepest. darkest Cornwall and I'm just not sure that anyone in this area has the necessary skills to repair them 100% so I think it would be best left to a trusted specialist with a proven track record. this has been considered in the asking price so please don't come with the intention of using these to knock the price down. I am open to sensible offers but ONLY from genuinely interested parties and even then only when you have taken the trouble to come and view the vehicle. please. please no calls or emails saying stuff like "what's the lowest you'll take for it mate". If you are genuinely interested then nothing is too much trouble. I will gladly show you round the vehicle and take you for long test rides (any excuse to drive it lol) and allow you all the time you need to poke around. even down to supplying copious amounts of tea or coffee! I love this vehicle and will miss it dreadfully. especially after spending so much time and money getting it just how I like it.

Vehicle comes with 2 keys. 2 remotes. 3 keys for topper and the V5 is here in my name. there is no Vat payable on this vehicle. MOT expires next month so I will put a new one on it for the buyer to give an expiry date of February next year (2015). Taxed until 31st July. as this vehicle is UK registered in 2003 but declared manufactured in 2001. it is on the 'old' rules so tax is just £225 per year currently. if it was a later one on the new rules it would probably be the £490 rate. Mileage is quoted above as 78. 00 but this may increase slightly as it's still used daily. because of this I will arrange to have it professionally valeted prior to collection.
