First. let me say that if you're looking for a ‘nice' 1965 Impala SS driver - you're in the wrong place. This is a National award winning show car. Second. this is MY car. I'm a US Navy Veteran. not a dealer or a third party agent looking to sell someone else's car. I restored this car and it lives in MY garage.

Though it is mechanically 100% and could be driven anywhere. this is in every sense of the word. a show car. This Impala SS won it's First Place Junior Award at the AACA National Meet in Lakeland. FL on February 21st. 2013. The AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) is world renowned for the quality of its judging. You are indeed looking at one of very best 1965 Impala Super Sport convertibles on the planet. It is the culmination of a six-year. blood and sweat frame-off restoration of a rust-free car loaded with factory options.

The color of the car is its original and correct Regal Red. It was done in base-clear Sherwin Williams paint. The body was removed from the frame and stripped down to bare metal. 　 The frame was also stripped and a special Etch primer was applied prior to regular primer to protect this car from ever rusting. 　

Everything on this car is either restored to new. NOS. or in a few cases factory authorized reproduction. The suspension is all new. as is the steering system. exhaust system and fuel system (including a new tank and hardware). Look underneath - it's as new as the rest of the car.

　Glass on the car is perfect. all original LOF except for a brand new windshield.

Open one of the well fitting doors and you'll see the care with which this car was restored. Wherever you look. whether it's under the hood. in the trunk or in the well appointed brand new white interior. you'll see that this car is new ALL over. If you're looking for the best. THIS IS IT! It's such a spectacular restoration that it's been featured in the monthly magazine of the Antique Automobile Associate of America. Classic Chevy Magazine. National Impalas Magazine and next month will be featured in Rod and Classics!

Buying this car now is the next best thing to getting in a time machine and going back to 1965 and purchasing a brand new Impala SS convertible!

Equipped with the famed SS 396 Chevrolet engine and Turbo Hydramatic Transmission. this Impala SS convertible drives just like it looks – like BRAND NEW!

But words can only go so far. I've posted more than 110 photos of this car so you can get the feel of being next to it. Please be patient and give the extra large photos a chance to load. You'll be glad you did. Personal Inspections are welcomed. but please do so BEFORE the auction ends.

Mechanically. this car is phenomenal. The engine and transmission sound. feel and operate as new. 　 The interior lights. instrument panel lights. glove box light. brake lights and turn signals all work just as they should. The horn blows. the clock ticks (though it's temporarily disconnected to prevent battery drain) and the in-dash AM-FM Cassette player plays fine. And YES. I do have the original Delco AM radio. which will come with the car and which can be reinstalled at any time.
