I've owned this little Chevy since February of 2009.  It is a 1966 Corvette Coupe with the L-79 package 327. 350 hp (casting #GM3892657) coupled with a 4 speed Muncie (PO212) transmission and 336 posi (AM11366) rear end.  The build date was February 17. '66 and it retains the correct (976AA) Nassau Blue exterior with the (414AA) Light Blue interior.  It has the stockl AM/FM radio. operational clock. tinted front glass and interior matching seat belts.  All of the gauges are operational with the exception of the odometer/tripometer and the heater works great.  This is not an air conditioned car.  The nicely detailed interior was recently all recarpeted. seats and center arm pad recovered/refoamed and miscellaneous trim parts were refurbished or replaced. The exterior paint and chrome would be considered higher end driver quality with a few minor blemishes and some slight underside bumper chrome deterioration.  Blinker assemblies. taillight/backup light assemblies and exhaust tips were recently replaced.  The headlights roll perfectly. The engine is pretty well dialed in and performs very well.  It has a CE block with a period correct casting and the other engine components appear to be and are likely original.  I recently replaced the carburator with a correct 3367 list Holly.  The clutch. flywheel and starter were all replaced within the past year as well as gaskets and seals in the motor and tranny. The suspension was rebuilt last year with new ball joints. tie rod ends. pitman. a rebuilt steering box. new damper. springs. shocks and the A-arms were rebuilt and powder coated.  I also replaced the brake callipers with stainless steel sleeved "0" ring types as opposed to lip seal.  It has a spare tire pan and I carry a full sized tire.  I put a composite leaf on the back for a more congenial ride but I retained the multi-leaf and will provide it to the buyer.  Other non original items would be the Hurst shifter. the rally wheels which were not available until the '67 model year. gold line radials as opposed to bias ply and the antenna is fixed as opposed to auto. I don't see any evidence of the body having been removed but the frame is in really great shape; straight. clean and free of any rot.  This car came out of Kansas prior to the brief ownership by the texan I purchased it from.  He passed on some receipts that date back to the early 90's and indicate some meticulous care. parts rebuilding and replacement.  The wiring appears newer. receipts indicate a dash harness and ignition harness with forward lamps.  It has a rear deck bay stowed scissor jack but not the original model. This is a standard. no power assists car with LOTS OF POWER and it has a great feel for the road. It's an absolute treat to drive and that's what I like about it.  The appreciative "thumbs ups" that it inspires are kinda nice too.  If you are a purist. it probably wouldn't take a lot for you to get this back to original and respectable competition status.
This is a used vehicle and is therefor sold "as is with no warranty. "  Pay Pal can be used for the $1500. 00 deposit but full payment is to be made at pickup in the form of a cashier's check or bank check.  The car will not be released until the funds clear my account.  A wire transfer would be the best way to handle things. I strongly recommend that you inspect this vehicle (or have it inspected) prior to bidding.  If you fail to do so and proceed to bid and win.  and upon seeing the vehicle decide you do not want it. I will return the deposit LESS any advertising expense incurred by me (that would include other sites outside of e-bay) as well as other costs of accommodation.  I don't wish to push my little corvy into an unappreciative home.  Thanks
