1940 Ford Other for sale
Current customer rating: (37 votes ) based onA head-turning street rod that's dashed with a fair amount of muscle car swagger, this all-steel Ford features a detailed, custom appearance that's highlighted by a spectacular coat of reposeful Spies Hecker two-stage. That pigment wraps a solid 1940 profile that, during a detailed rotisserie restoration, was stripped bare and lovingly massaged to form. And today, this classic rolls as one lights-out head turner that's virtually guaranteed to make you weak in the knees! Pop the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of proven Chevy small block that looks good and runs great! That buff mill utilizes a cooled TH200-4R 4-speed to twist a tough Ford 9-inch that's built with big, 3.70 gears. That axle pushes a sturdy Ford frame that was fully stripped and rotisserie restored during the car's detailed rejuvenation. A Mustang II-style front-clip leads traditional leaf springs that are coupled with small lowering blocks. Tubular control arms cage manual rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are quick and precise thanks to power-assisted discs. And power pounds the pavement through painted steel wheels, which spin staggered BF Goodrich whitewalls around stylish Art Deco stainless. There's no shortage of street rods with custom interiors, but a classic this cool always stands out! Installed by Twin City Upholstery of Bloomington, Illinois, the car's custom cockpit kicks off with a split-bench seat that's covered in a sea of plush leather. In front of that throne, a classy, two-tone dash hides modern, 12-volt wiring behind crisp Dakota Digital telemetry and controls for Vintage Air conditioning. And the driver spins a timeless, "V8" branded steering wheel around a tilting Flaming River column. Looking for a road ready hot rod that's guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever you go? Call, click or visit for more information on this striking Ford Coupe!

About the RK Motors Performance Center
Regardless if your vehicle is going through routine maintenance or a full custom build to your exact specifications, the RKM Performance Center has the knowledge, experience and resources to fulfill your automotive needs.
In the world of electronic fuel injection and computer diagnostics, even late model dealerships look a little uncomfortable working on pre-OBD1 cars. There are many independent mechanics and shops that may be able to help, but putting your prized classic in the hands of a stranger is a leap of faith at best.
This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center.
Being proud members of SEMA, ARMO, HRIA and the North Carolina Motorsports Association, the RKM Performance Center is a nationally recognized shop; best known for high-level OEM restorations and custom builds.
Comprised of ASE certified mechanics, including several Master Technicians, you can feel confident that your car is in capable hands. As fellow enthusiasts, they are passionate about cars and will treat yours with the respect it deserves.
