Ford Consul Mk1 Granada manual,new engine classic car

Thanks for looking at my 1974 Mk1 Ford Consul Granada. This car is a dream to drive. She fires up 1st go everytime
and does not smoke or rattle. As far as I am aware she had a new rebuilt engine about 22k miles ago inc the carb being
re-built too but I have no paperwork to show this. She has a recently fitted power steering rack. bushes/ball joints
and under seal. (all info from dvla mot site)

I have owned this car for about a year and enjoyed every moment in her but my work load means she will not really get out as
much as I want so better to sell her and let someone else use her. This car has NEVER let me down. EVER.

This car is a real head turner and you must be prepared to be stopped and people telling you that their dad had one years
ago and they went to Blackpool in her.

Good points

Someone has spent a pile of money to get this car to where she is now and I have all the receipts to prove this. (good contact list too)
No rattles or clangs
Manual box is sweet and whine free as is the diff.
Body work is actually quite good for her year - I think it has been done in the last 8 - 10 years or so but sorry no paperwork to prove this
Mechanically sound and solid underneath. mot last week only advisory  was rear tyres are near the limit but not serious
Strong engine - she really pulls like a train
Tow bar fitted and works ( I towed a caravan back from Glasgow with her in the snow late last year )

Bad bits

There are some blisters on the front wing
Prop shaft needs a new bearing (supplied) but I have not had time to fit it yet. It is hardly noticeable but I like my cars to be right
The interior is dried out but the seat covers come with her and look ok I think (interiors are cheap on e-bay) and I just
never had time to get one sorted. The seats are good with no foam leakage and really comfortable to ride on.


Please remember she is almost 39 years old. She does not have modern abs brakes or A/C and wallows a bit round corners

stunning when the sun shines.

All the tyres have been kicked and it still has 4. one in each corner.

This is an old lady and has some minor cosmetic body required work to make her look superb. Some front wing bubbles in
corner but nothing too major. (again not had the time to sort this due to work)

I an not claiming its a GT model. Sorry for any confusion. The boot badge was on when I bought her.
