This Bronco came to us from the estate of a long time owner in Sunny Eastern Washington. It has largely escaped the ravages of rust & rot. Wearing just a single repaint of the original Cordova Copper it still presents well with a nice patina look. There is some rust as pictured, in the corners of the engine compartment, driver's floor pan and the front bottom of the rockers. The rockers would only need patches, not full replacements or could easily leave everything as is while you just drive it with the patina. For the most part though, this one is quite solid.
The inside of this Bronco was looking a bit tired so it was treated to some fresh seat upholstery and a reproduction floor mat. Things really brightened up well and its a fun spot to spend a drive.
Under the hood the 302 has been nicely upgraded with a factory cast iron 4V intake manifold, 4 barrel carburetor and a mild performance camshaft. The engine has a nice lope to the idle and revs quickly. The factory 3 speed was replaced with a Mustang style 4 speed toploader that works excellent.
The brakes have been treated to new wheel cylinders and the pedal has a nice feel.
The wheels are 15x7" US Mags Indy units with 30 x 9.50 Cooper tires.
Please keep in mind this is an older Bronco, not a 2022 or a 6-figure restored unit. This one behaves quite well for the breed. It drives straight down the road and the power is quite surprising. But Broncos do have wind noises when you drive and there will be a drip on the driveway every once in a while. They are incredibly easy to service and maintain compared to modern vehicles. A simple set of hand tools and a Chilton manual will get a novice through 90% of all repairs on a Bronco.
