Created by the RKM Performance Center to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ford's legendary Mustang, this incredible Shelby is the direct result of some of the industry's best builders exploring the supreme limits of the pro-touring resto-mod movement! As a rule, the best builds begin as solid classics, and that's exactly how this fresh Ford rolled into our Charlotte shop. In fact, the car's body was restored so well that all it took was a new hood to exact iconic Shelby form. Since this coupe was such a head turner, someone on our staff mentioned the Hot Rod Power Tour. After many months of fabricating, tuning and sorting, our 'race car in a Shelby wrapper' joined thousands of other road-ready classics to participate in the 20th running of the magazine's renowned endurance cruise. And over the next seven days and 1,500 miles, the radical ride we now affectionately called RK527 scorched the blacktop from Concord, North Carolina all the way to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin! Purchased at a cost of $37K, and tweaked in our shop by Kaase himself, this Mustang's monster mill is conservatively tuned to an easy 711 horsepower and a massive 806 lb./ft. of tire torching torque. Behind that brutal powerplant, a hydraulic clutch kicks a predictable Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed, which spins a familiar Ford 9-inch that's finished with 3.55 gears. That drivetrain rolls on a Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear-clip, which pushes a Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame front-half. Turns come courtesy of power rack-and-pinion steering. Drilled and slotted rotors thread sporty Baer calipers. Power meets the pavement through retro American Racing wheels. And between the doors, a fully restored cockpit features the best elements of Ford's Black bucket seat interior. Call, click or visit for your chance to claim this ultimate pro-touring resto-mod!

About the RK Motors Performance Center
Regardless if your vehicle is going through routine maintenance or a full custom build to your exact specifications, the RKM Performance Center has the knowledge, experience and resources to fulfill your automotive needs.
In the world of electronic fuel injection and computer diagnostics, even late model dealerships look a little uncomfortable working on pre-OBD1 cars. There are many independent mechanics and shops that may be able to help, but putting your prized classic in the hands of a stranger is a leap of faith at best.
This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center.
Being proud members of SEMA, ARMO, HRIA and the North Carolina Motorsports Association, the RKM Performance Center is a nationally recognized shop; best known for high-level OEM restorations and custom builds.
Comprised of ASE certified mechanics, including several Master Technicians, you can feel confident that your car is in capable hands. As fellow enthusiasts, they are passionate about cars and will treat yours with the respect it deserves.
