1959 Chevrolet 3100 Apache

Selling this truck out of my personal collection. I acquired this magnificent truck mid last year from a gentleman who wanted a car I had for sale. This truck is absolutely stunning, I'm just more into performance cars and so I'm offering her for sale. It had a compression ratio of 8.5:1, had its fuel suppliedby a single Rochester carburetor, and had a rated output of 135 horsepower.The engine's rebuild history is unknown, but the block has a casting numberthat confirms it is correct for a GM pickup built between 1958 and 1962. It issaid to start immediately, without smoke, when the choke is engaged. No leaksare reported from anywhere associated with the drivetrain. The GM manualtransmission has three forward speeds and is described as shifting smoothlyin all gears. The Chevrolet Thriftmaster six, as the light-duty 235 was thencalled, is restored to a very high standard cosmetically, with correct light-green paint on the engine. The rest of the engine bay is equally sanitary andfresh.EXTERIOROriginally finished in green, this Apache was refinished in 2019 in Passion RosePearl, an aftermarket shade that most closely resembles the 1959 Chevrolettruck color of Romany Maroon, a color scheme that extends to the engine bay.The grille is painted a contrasting silver. The truck retains most of its factorysheet metal with the exception of the rear fenders, which are molded fromfiberglass. The seller describes the paint as still being in perfect condition,with no swirls or blemishes. There is no rust reported on this Apache.Every item on the exterior of the truck, including the bumpers and all badgesand trim, have been either restored or replaced. The present chrome workpresents as being in excellent condition. The cargo bed has new oak flooringplanks with polished retaining hardware. The tailgate has new brackets, chainsand black protective material. According to the seller, all of the cab glass wasreplaced during the restoration, and the exterior lighting is fully functional. Theundercarriage, including the frame rails, crossmembers and rear axle, presentsas nearly spotless.INTERIORThe seller states that every item and component in the interior has beeneither restored or reolaced. The cab's bench seat is now covered withcloth/vinyl facings that complement the Apache's exterior paint scheme. Thecab's rubber floor mat is new, as is the headliner, which includes a workingdome light. The body-color steel dashboard presents as being in excellentcondition. All small controls look to be as new. The chrome-trimmedinstrument nacelle also looks to be in very good condition. All of theinstruments are reported functional with the exception of the factory AMradio, which remains in the dash. The cab's seals and weatherstripping werereplaced with new items at the time of the restoration.CHASSISThis Apache rides on Dayton Thoroughbred wide whitewall tires (plus a bed-mounted spare) that are in as-new condition, mounted on 15-inch steel discwheels that are said to be in perfect condition. Topping the wheels are smallyear-correct wheel covers that appear to be in excellent shape. A variety ofmajor suspension components were replaced during the restoration. No issuesare reported with either the manual steering or manual drum brakes. Theshock absorbers and chassis bushings are reported to be in excellentcondition.
