This was Hotrod magazine built car, and was in 3 different magazine articles. The gentleman that built this car was the editor for Peterson Publishing fo15 years , and it was his car, and his dream to make a ground pounding , tire burning biscayne..                                                                So with the help from Mark McPhail ( GM project engineer) ,Mike Norris motor sports, Steve Magnante , Peterson publishing , Katech, and many others , his vision became reality. //////////COLD VINTAGE AIR CONDITIONING AND HEAT//////////////////ENGINE.//////////. SPECIAL BLOCK//////// GM LS ALUMINUM RACE BLOCK (C5- R) (GM #12480030) 452 cu inch,With modified L92 heads , Hank the crank (crankshaft) , Carrillo connecting rods , Scoggin - Dickey camshaft and was built by the best (KATECH AUTOMOTIVE). in one of my photos there's a complete list of all the components in this engine .there was no corners cut, on this engine build , Also Nicely detailed engine Bay Area . This C5-R block is the predecessor to the LSX 454 and is Capable of 900 hp HORSE POWER … 506hp at 5500 rpm - 525 ftlbs of torque at 4200 , AT THE REAR WHEELS........TRANSMISSION…Rockland standard gear t-56 6 speed , CLUTCH,,Centerforce 12” steel flywheel and pressure plate assembly, Keisier Hydraulic assist, line loc REAREND ….Currie 9” truetrack diff, 3:89:1 gears , 31 spline axles , dennys driveshaftWHEELS… 18-9 FIKSE front, 18-10 FIKSE rears INTERIOR.. Completely original, except for the Carbeau racing front seats , covered in matching vinyl , interior is in really good condition for the age, there is a tear in the back seat , Does have autometer gauges . No radio. SUSPENSION .. complete global west suspension. with QA-1 billet shocks , tubular upper and lower control arms and lowering springs, big front sway bar .rear control arms and adjustable upper links, Panhead bar and lowering springsBRAKES .. 4 piston front 13” rotors , single piston rear 11” drilled rotors. PAINT AND BODY … clean, straight solid no rust, tenn car, body was stripped to bare metal, and body came off the frame, Paint is driver quality, smooth ,straight and shiny.
