1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe

1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 2.3L turbo automatic transmission 14,300 miles.  Perfect CarFax. 

Garage kept.  All original including tires.  Immaculate interior.  Exterior shows like a 14,300 preserved vehicle.  No noticeable wear and tear.

Deep black exterior paint without hazing or swirls from drive through car washes.  There is no wax or compound build up in exterior trim from decades of detailing – this car was garaged, covered and driven in fair weather only so the paint is rich.  Exterior plastic trims, window gaskets, etc. are not sun burnt or faded.  All body panel VIN tags in place, including under front and rear bumpers.  Look at videos – close ups showing details of areas that are normally worn like bumper corners or key holes, hardly a mark on body.  This car is impressive, but we all have different standards.  My feedback should speak for that, I have bought and sold half a million dollars in toys (hobby cars, RV's, ATV's) here on eBay, see my feedback below.  The photo with the headlights on shows the reflection of the moon – see white dot on hood.  I am not a photographer and only use my cell phone – hard to capture the depth of this black paint. 

Raven cloth interior is excellent, hard not to call it mint or near new.  The seat fabric still glistens in the sun, almost glittery like it left the factory.  See video with close ups – no wear and tear on buttons, steering wheel, shifter, arm rest or seats.  Have original mint black Ford floor mats not in the photos. All interior components are tight and fitted.

Car starts, runs, drives and stops as it should.  Recent work includes idle positioning center.  The PCR (Programmed ride control) suspension was upgraded with modern KYB shocks and struts and the car performs much better. All of the original PCR components that were removed are included in the sale and are totally clean demonstrating that this was a fair weather driver only.   The car drives very proper, and ride quality in excellent considering tires are original but always stored in a climate controlled garage – has only been enthusiast owned.  

Sale includes deluxe Marti report, color dealer sales brochures, Owner's manual and other pamphlets in glove box, two sets of original turbo coupe keys and two original Ford keys. 

The keyless entry code on driver's door works.  There is also a combination that opens the trunk.  The buttons illuminate.  Convenience lights work when you open the doors, as does the stereo / amp, the light in the center console, the power antennae, the windshield washer sprayer, cruise control, power seats, a/c, the gauges and dash illuminates bright at night,…A lot of the 35 year old car nuisances are in working order.  Power antennae looks slightly bent.

Engine bay tidy not detailed.  

Undercarriage picture speaks for itself, the original exaust is not even crusty.

If you do not live locally, get the best 3rd party inspector to look this car over – inspections welcomed.  If local roads are wet or salted - NO test drives.
