Original 1971 Chevelle SS.   I bought this vehicle in August 2007 and put barely 600 miles on it since I purchased it.   I am the 3rd owner and sad to be selling this beauty.   It has been garaged and pampered.   I bought it. enjoyed it. and now must sell it.   I have all the paperwor from the previous owner and paperwork for oil changes and maintenance since I bought it in 2007.

Per the 2nd owner's description to me in the listing (he can describe it better than I can):

Originally had factory L48350 ci V8.   First owner bought care new from local dealership.   In 1987. this vehicle had complete exterior body restoration and paint.   Stored in climate controlled warehouse undriven until 2nd owner purchased in 2004.   2nd owner put less than 200 miles on vehicle.   Car has 12 bolt posi rear end in it.   Had a set of 2:71:1 gears originally.   2nd owner overhauled it and installed new Eaton carrier. all bearings. and a set of Yukon 3:73:1 gears along with Lakewood no-hop arms.   Brakes are in excellent shape. car came equipped with power disc front/drum rear.   2nd owner replaced all 4 springs. new upper and lower ball joints.   (Moog) all new upper and lower control arm bushings and and sway arm links and bushings.   (poly) Transmission is a Turbo 350 with a B&M stall converter.   (3000 rpm stall) Traansmission has been completely gone through by a transmission rebuilding shop.   The engine is a 400 ci small block which has been bored and built by local rebuilder. Bailey Motor Cpororts.    It is a 400+ HP which runs great and strong. engine has less than 700 miles from 2nd owner and less than 650 by me.   The carb is Holley avenger 770 cfm (10 months old when I bought it) on top of a Edelbrock intake.   It has a mallory billet style distributor -unilight electronic. with amallory coil and n8. 5 mm wires.   It has a 4 core radiator in it with a an clutch style fan.   New battery. new starter. new alternator. new pump from 2nd owner.   All coolant hoses and belts are new.   Headers and exhaust in excellent condition.   2nd owner had left and right floor pans replaced professionally and the repairs undercoated.   New carpeting and cassette radio designed for dash.   Pre-amp and 2 kenwood speakers below a package tray.   The dash was not cracked or cut.   Dash had couple of small cracks per 2nd owner in speaker opening between the dots.   Not noticeable unless really looked.   Small flaw in front seat where vinyl looks like repaired.   Headliner has small tear behind driver's head.   Rear window will leak in car washes small amount - probably just needs a reseal.   Never driven in rain so don't know if will leak in rain.   Chrome is original chrome.   Minor pitting on bumpers. door handles. and side mirror.   Tires are 215/65R15H Goodyear GT-HR and less than 1000 miles on them.   **Original engine goes with car with matching original engine along with other parts owners saved when items were replaced - air cleaner. charcoal cannister. cast iron manifold. etc. Original engine is on rolling cage frame.   Engine was in running shape. but 2nd owner wanted more HP.   Original owners manual and paperwork that came with car including original Dealer window sheet with showing price. options. and delivery.    Only issue is some rust in trunk.    2nd owner was certified ASE master technician and he did a fine job on this vehicle.   It has never caused me any problems except having to replace battery for sitting too long during hot Texas summer - it has no AC as it was bought in Wisconsin.

I have enjoyed every mile I put on this vehicle and originally purchased it for my collection. but other priorities came up.   It is a true head turner and runs and sounds awesome.
