1986 Corvette "Indianapolis 500 Pace" Convertible
This corvette is a time capsule. It is a two-owner California car stored in the Southwest desert. this corvette is flawless. All 1986 corvette convertibles were built by General Motors as Pace Car Replicas. This red on red with a white top convertible is a beautiful example. It comes full loaded including the rare 4+3 speed manual transmission.
The 98. 6% Top Flight Score achieved at the 2012 NCRS Arizona Regional is testament to how good this car is.
Although purchased with less than 500 miles the odometer now reads 1. 19. To get the car ready for NCRS judging all systems on the car were checked and are working with the exception of the cassette tape which needs a new belt to drive the tape. but it does work perfectly with a cassette adapter for an iPod or any other mp3 player.
The corvette comes fully documented. There are lots of extras including an original typed GM press release about the Pace Car given to the media in Indianapolis. Also included are photos of Chuck Yeager who was the driver of the official pace car at the race. a race day program. and all dealer supplied documentation.
Once the winning bidder has purchased the car the sale is final with no returns. The car must be picked up by the buyer in El Paso. Texas.
A $500. 00 PayPal non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours by the winning bidder. The balance is due seven days from the winning bid.
