Here's your chance to own an all original. never molested rust free  Los Angeles assembly plant '57 Chevy 2 door!

You thought cars like this didn't exist anymore?  Think again!

283 Power Pack V8 complete with the original oil bath air cleaner.  As far as I can tell. everything is correctly dated and original.  If you have questions about specific date codes. I'll be happy to help where possible.  It's a running. driving car that will just need basic maintenance.

Powerglide automatic shifts well. but I believe needs its band adjusted.  When cold. it slips slightly in the middle of first gear. It gets better after warming up.

Original interior – not reproduction.  This is the actual original interior that the car rolled off the assembly line with.

Original tissue dispenser option. radio doesn't appear to work (reason unknown). original owners manual comes with the car.

Mileage is believed to be correct and original at 74. 00.

Exhaust is original. and will need to be replaced immediately.

Tires are probably from the 1980's. and will need to be replaced immediately.

The rear leaf springs are sagging. and will need work.

There is no rust/rot that I can find in the car anywhere. Tail pan. floor pan. doors. fenders. all look good.  It had one piece on the right front fender down low.  I patched it. and repainted the lower portion of the fender. See photos of the metal work.  Nobody would know it has a patch in it. even with the paint removed. I have about ½ - ¾ pint of paint that I can send with the car if you want it for touch ups. The car used to have rocker guards on it. and a few of the brackets are still there. but the guards aren't.

The car has nice patina.  Translation:  The paint looks good from about 20 feet. but has plenty of wear. chips and scratches.

I restore old cars for a living. but I'm usually doing resto-mod stuff. and I couldn't bring myself to take this one apart and go through it. It's just a real nice. solid car that is begging to be driven just the way it is.  Or. if you're looking for an all original complete car to restore. they don't get nicer. and easier than this one.
