Ok, I think we have your attention if you are still reading and starring at the first 7 images of this beautiful 1966 Mercury Parklane Convertible Big Block. The first thing I look for in a vintage collectible car is their exterior condition. It is easy to spot poor body work and previous damage history if you have been in the business for 33 years like I have. The first thing I do is a 10-20 foot spin around the car looking for mismatched panels and reflections that show poor workmanship. First arrival on this Mercury Parklane, well, you will soon find in the pictures below that you get to see exactly the same views I did of each beautiful panel and overall views of the entire car front to back and side to side. Body and panels on this car are great. There's no evidence of prior major metal repair anywhere and all panels are factory original. The paint finish is older and a few areas have been touched up over the years. Paint work was done many years ago so there are some faint scratches, scuffs and blemishes. The blemishes don't detract from the overall nice appearance on the car and unless you wanted to take the car back to its original Polar white color, it would not need to be redone to fully enjoy its overall quality. Glass is all great and the original windshield has one small repaired star on the driver's lower side. Wheels, tires are great. Hubcaps are not perfect but they are original. The chrome bumpers both front and rear are original and nice and all other chrome and brightwork is in above average condition. The convertible top is in fantastic condition with no rips or tears. The overall appearance is fantastic, just not show quality perfect. The pictures I take always present the car as you will find it currently. Let's stare at some more images again...No! The model does no come with the car, but the pictures of her with the car do. So, don't be that guy and look stupid asking. She just likes muscle cars like you do.

Interior...

When you open the doors to this 1966 Mercury Parklane Convertible, you will instantly see that it looks incredibly clean inside and it's all original. Door panels, dash, rear paneling and console are all in exceptional condition and appear to be original as well. The seats also are original and in exceptional condition, although not perfect. The driver's seat has a crack on the entry side and the foam is deteriorating. The carpet is also fading a bit with discoloration. It does not appear to have been restored, but it shows in good condition overall. The steering wheel is perfect without any cracks. All gauges work, the clock does not. The radio even works. All power windows work great; even the power vent windows.  The power top works perfectly too. All interior lights work perfectly too. . The overall presence of the interior is exceptional and very original as you will see in the pictures.

Vehicle Written Assessment This 1966 Mercury Parklane Convertible comes with no documentation other than what the original owner shared with me. The drivetrain on this 1966 Mercury Parklane Convertible looks and performs exceptional. Starts right up and drives like it rolled out of the factory just a few years ago instead of 55 years ago. It's just crazy to look at this car and drive it and not feel like you have been transported back in time to 1966. The performance is excellent. The steering and brakes are fantastic too. The ride quality is just exceptional and really enjoyable to drive. Taking this car for a daily spin would not give anyone pause. I have traveled all over Las Vegas even during our hot summer and thoroughly enjoyed driving this convertible without stress or worry. No leaks have been seen either. The body, the frame and the Interior show very well. Headlights work, the taillights and turn signals all work to factory specification. The power windows work great. There is a spare tire, jack or tools in the trunk. There is no rust on the frame or body either. The doors, hood and trunk all open and close great. There is no sign that the car has seen any panel replacement or major damage at any point in it's life. This 1966 Mercury Parklane Convertible comes with some great options too. From the factory listed options, the list is as follows. Day/Night Rearview Mirror, Dual Exhaust, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Bucket Seats with Console, Power Windows, Power Vent Windows, Radio AM with Antenna, Rear Seat Speaker, Deluxe Wheel Covers with Spinners Overall Assessment This 1966 Mercury Parklane Convertible is a fine example of very original investment quality rare collectible classic car. Not Concours, but definitely a rare classic car that would be appreciated and any local car show and seen for its quality finish, fit and original condition. I am a “used car dealer” but before that, I'm an automobile enthusiast. I love original, rare and high quality modified vintage and modern cars. Over the past 19 years I've been in business, I have come to appreciate an expanding selection of high-demand, high value vehicles as well. With just four employees and no sales people, I realize how unusual a “dealership” like mine may be at a first glance. It has taken great care and effort to create such an organization and often, an unusually high investment in a particular car we are about to list. To sell the best it is critical to have a trusted expert in my corner. First we do an exhaustive 130 point inspection on each and every vehicle and hope nothing escapes our methodical investigation. Experience has shown that everything I spend making a car truly “right” will come back to me not only with a higher selling price, but a happy customer that says good things about Collector's Dream Cars. Moreover, it allows us to describe the car with ease and confidence, something that simply is not possible unless we think it is true. If major issues are found or the cost of fixing the car the way it should be makes it too expensive to sell, my choice is an easy one. I simply absorb a few hundred dollars loss for my trouble and sell it at auction so you don't get a headache over the vehicle.

After the vehicle is fully checked over and made whole at any level it needs to be, we researches its history, documents, documenting originality and authenticity. Historical significance, rarity, special features, possible modifications, and much more are used to accurately describe the vehicle with integrity and honesty. Most important for the potential buyer are the 100 to 200 high resolution pictures that I take myself. The pricey equipment I use would be right at home in the hands of the very best professional photographers and I've developed a logical format that walks you around the entire vehicle with close-up shots of every square inch. I provide detailed views of the interior, under the hood and then put it on a lift to show the undercarriage and confirm that the beauty of the car you are considering is not merely skin deep. Even our detailers are enthusiastic about the cars they meticulously clean. Reconditioning can sometimes take several days as we do all that we can within reason to get our vehicles in tip top condition visually and cosmetically. We do Way more than just a cheap detail. Our details are more like refurbishing to as close to new as we can possibly get our vehicles.

Usually, I'll also include a high definition video that shows the car doing its thing. If it's a fast car, we film it going fast. If it's a 4x4 you'll see it crawling up a hill. In every case you will hear things like a rumbling exhaust, working sound system and watch gauges operation as well.

No “dealer,” on-line or in the real world, takes it to this level. No other seller or organization provides you, the buyer, with so much information. I do this because it is the only way I can convince a person; often a world away, unable to touch or feel their purchase that my vehicle is for real and what I say is an honest assessment. All the above is necessary for me to stay in business while keeping integrity intact. I want every buyer to be happy and I need glowing feedback on eBay.
