1976 Ford Bronco sport special decor

This rare 1976 Ford Bronco Sport Special Decor is finished in the original Cayan Red, Ford color code 2, original white hard top, original black Décor stripes, and is powered by a 302ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. It is equipped with the factory power steering, power brakes, and front disc brakes. The interior has been re-upholstered with all new original sport trim and parchment rosette seat covers with new foam. The Bronco was acquired back in 2011, and in 2015 began a meticulous 3.5 year restoration. Since the restoration there has been approximately 3,000 miles put on this Bronco. This Bronco has dozens of other detailed photos of the restoration, numerous part receipts, a detailed Marti Report, and a clean South Carolina title.

Per the Marti Report this Bronco was 1 of 162 with these paint and trim options. The restoration put this Bronco back to as much original as possible, but with subtle improvements being made. The body restoration included replacement of both front floorboards, both front kick panels, and both front door posts. The result is a rust-free Bronco with all steel body panels and pieces. While restoring the Bronco nearly every piece of hardware was replaced with either period correct or stainless hardware. The work also included new body bushings, new various other bushings, new gaskets, and all new weather stripping.

No detail or expense was spared during this Bronco restoration and many NOS parts were used. Some details to note are; The interior was fully finish painted and then covered from the firewall to the rear with Dynamat and Dynaliner to lower the radiant heat from entering the cab. The heater box was fully restored with all new felt for the flaps and the blower motor cleaned and painted. The motor, transmission, and transfer case were removed, broken down, had all new gaskets, bearings, seals, and finally freshly painted. The brakes were all rebuilt with new components, down to each spring and piece of hardware. Even the original front and rear stamped running gear plates were removed, cleaned and clear coated to keep the original information intact. Many of the vacuum lines are original date stamped from1976 and period correct colored. The correct new dual electric horns were put back, with both a high and a low tone horn. All the Sport window chrome and grill chrome is original to this Bronco and were all hand stripped, polished, and had metal protector/sealer applied. The windshield was replaced with new glass but all the other glass including both door glasses are original to this Bronco. The fuel system was replaced with all new tanks, sending units, vent lines, and filler hoses.

The interior was finished with a new period correct saddle tan carpet kit, new seat belts, a new Grant wood steering wheel, and all new Sport door panels. The interior also has the correct hardboard headliner that was fabric covered. The dash was painted back Wimbledon white, with a refurbished gauge cluster (all gauges work), knobs, cigar lighter, and AM radio in place. The dash pad has no cracks and is still soft and pliable. Please note the radio is not connected and there is no fender mounted antenna, I use an external Bluetooth speaker and my phone.

This Bronco has won many car shows, best of shows, was on the cover of the LMC parts catalog, and is a very rare option Bronco.
