1960 CADILLAC - PARADE CONVERTIBLE

Born an ugly duckling. endured a boring existence for over 50 years and now embarking on a grand awakening from her captive past.   While sleeping she just underwent a major makeover transforming a common 4 door hardtop into a convertible (top was carefully removed).   Not running for the last 8 years and waiting for that magic moment when her silent parts come to life.   Although she still needs a lot - like paint. tires. attention to brakes. exhaust and to get her running again.   Someone else needs to finish the job and "MAKE HER BEAUTIFUL".   She has it in her.

Some of her potential consists of - late model Cadillac leather seats (electric but not wired) and new carpet.   A jumper battery revealed that the engine turns freely. most lights and turn signals work. radio plays. blower works. power windows work but are disconnected at the switches and power locks are also disconnected to avoid unnecessary use.   Also has power trunk.   No battery in the car.   Odometer shows a meager 67. 12 miles. may or may not be accurate.   Has cruise control and automatic eye dimmer control . may or may not work.

The Cadillac was running when parked 8 years ago in a small garage.   Had some rust in front floor boards and has patch panels overlayed and screwed in place.   The rest of the floor boards and trunk are rust free and very solid.   Has lots of excellent chrome inside and outside with only minor pitting and some dull spots and all very straight.   Has had one repaint many years ago with some slight signs of possible rust repair.   The clear coat is lifting in a number of areas and difficult to see in the pictures.    The drivers door window is cracked but all others are excellent.   The usual cracks are present in the padded dash.   AC compressor is currently off the car and in a box (goes with car).    Tires are very old and will need replacing.    It will require someone to completely go over the car mechanically and get it running again.

It will make a gorgeous one of a kind parade convertible  (NO TOP) when finished.   It's well on it's way but can use a little help which it greatly deserves.
