Growing up during the first generation of muscle cars in the 60's and 70's and owning both a Boss 302 and a Boss 429, I street raced numerous Z28's back in the day.  Knowing what great cars they were, I was very excited to follow up on this 70 Z28 when I first heard about this car.  It was located less than 15 miles from my house.  I wanted to know more.

My partner Dave was the first to see the car.  When he returned to discuss what he saw, he was very excited about the car.  It was all he could talk about for weeks.  We decided to see if we could convince the owner to sell us the car.  It took two months for us to put a deal together to purchase the car.

When I first saw this car, I was just as impressed as he was.  What a phenomenal package it was.  It looks totally stock, but performs and sounds like nothing of its day.

Owners Manual

Previous owner bought the car in Los Angeles and drove home to Rancho Santa Fe (about 150 miles).  Decided he didn't want to jeopardize the LT1 motor and had all the up grades professionally installed.  He stated “I wanted a fun car to drive but had no desire to harm the 50-year-old drive train”.

Driven in 95-degree weather and engine temperature was steady at 190 degrees

At 80 MPH the engine runs at only 2500 RPM's 

One repaint with the original paint scheme, about 12 years ago looks good but has a few issues and scratches
