Introduction:

Crossing the auction block is the epitome of a "Barn-Find". What you are about to look at is an all original 1960 Chevrolet C-10 Apache truck with only 28,039 actual miles and only 1300 miles since build. Yes you read that correctly, this farm truck was only recently removed from its original farmstead, put through a complete frame-off mechanical restoration with completely modernized running gear and topped off with a 415 HP 6.2L LS3, 6L80E engine and transmission combo.

Exterior:

If patina is what you like then this is your truck. There is not an ounce of recreated age or patina, but every single battle scar this truck has, has been earned honestly. The original Code 710 Tartan Turquoise paint covers the entire truck on all surfaces and jambs. The body has very minimal rust for its age the worst of which being a spot on the passenger's side rocker (see pic). There hasn't been any clear coat or permanent protective coating applied, but a light coat of linseed oil once a year applied to keep a nice satin sheen. All of the glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or stains of any kind, and  the bed was treated to a new wood floor.

Interior:

Open any door and step into the interior every farmer would have dreamed of in 1960. For starters all the metal surfaces were sprayed with a satin medium gray metallic paint that compliments the custom gray leather seating and flooring accommodations. Behind the smoked dash cover you will find an Intelletronix LED Digital display that includes Speedometer, Tachometer, Voltmeter, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, and Fuel. All gauges have been calibrated with their corresponding sending units and function very accurately. You will be sure to enjoy the custom Bluetooth stealth stereo system. It sounds great, however, 415 horses tend to sound a bit better to me. An IDidIt tilt steering column with leather wrapped billet steering wheel bring a touch of modern to the functional interior. All gauges, lights, signals, heater, defroster, and even horn are fully functional. Selecting your drive gears is done through a Lokar Bench Bender floor gear shifter.

Mechanical:

As previously stated this truck underwent a full blown, frame-off, mechanical restoration. The bed, cab, and front clip were all separated from the frame and that's when the real fun began. Frame was blasted and painted right before all the modern aftermarket drive-line goodies were installed. Starting up front a Syndicate Customs front coil-over suspension kit with Mustang II rack and pinion steering was installed. Out back you will find the stock suspension set up with the addition of lowering coils and lowering blocks to get that ride height just right. Anchoring all four corners are power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors up front hidden tastefully behind the 18" Riddler wheels.

Under the hood you will find a "power-plant transplant". The 6.2L LS3 V8 and 6L80E transmission were both pulled from the same donor car, a 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan with only 14k miles. No mods or cam swap just a straight economical swap. Connecting all of the very important dots between engine, transmission, and computer is a full Speartech wiring harness. All 415 horses travel back to a Moser 12 bolt posi-trac rear end with a 3:55 gear. The truck runs great in all respects. Cruise at 80 mph all day or spend the day running up and down the track. She is reliable, runs cool, and is an absolute blast to drive.
