This is a real, numbers matching engine, trans. documented 442. This is a project but extremely rare and valuable when finished. 90% complete, 455 original to the car, turbo 400 trans original to the car, just purchased a bunch of parts to help get it going. The car has new Goodyear front tires with nice Rally wheels. P/S, disc brakes. The car came with factory bucket seats and his and hers Hurst shifter with console. New GM restoration parts trunk lid purchased 6 months ago along with W30 hood. It has a new front bumper (pictured, not installed) new Cold Case aluminum radiator, NOS new GM fan shroud, along with the original old shroud, new upper and lower radiator hose - repro, new stainless factory bent transmission lines, W27 rear end cover, the car does have Oldsmobile 12-bolt rear with box control arms and large rear sway bar. Original rear bumper with cutouts (needs to be re-chromed). The engine has been disassembled and inspected and shows to have lots of performance Mondelo upgrades. ARP Head studs, ARP main studs, Engle cam, roller rockers, Moroso Oil pan, rotating assembly was balanced, bored .30 over with Speedpro forged pistons, Edelbrock Torker intake, Stainless valves, rods were re-worked - polished beams and performance rod bolts. The original Turbo 400 transmission has a performance 11in torque converter, and the list goes on.442 cars with or without the W30 option start out with the number sequence '344' in the VIN which is specific to 442 cars only. On a Cutlass, it starts with 366. The trim tag also denotes the beginning of the VIN sequence 344 so, it's indisputably a real 442 with the original engine showing the VIN number on the driver's side pad. The original color of the car was gold with dark green interior. The car does have rust - there is a picture of the trunk floor and there is rust in typical places, behind the rear tires and around rear window. The rocker metal looks good, the bottoms of the doors look good. The firewall is in great shape. There are a pair of repro floor pans that have surface rust - I kept them for patch areas in the floors - great if you just need to cut off a small piece. These cars are bringing strong money and will continue to go up. Not many around in this price range, especially with the original engine. This vehicle is sold AS-IS No warranties or guarantees all sales are final so, if you have any questions, please ask me before you bid. Please remember buyer is fully responsible for shipping and/or collection of this vehicle - I will help where possible. ***PLEASE REMEMBER! ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION IS OUT OF THE CAR - IT WILL NEED TO BE TOWED OR TRAILERED****
