1983 Ford F-350

Here is your chance to own a RARE, head-turning 1983 Ford Single Cab Diesel Dually!!!!!This truck is powered by a strong 6.9 IDI Engine (videos can be sent upon request) and is very mechanically solid. No mechanical issues whatsoever. Engine is mated with a standard transmission that shifts flawlessly and can get you up to speed on the highway with a very solid suspension with no steering wheel play nor any bouncing or any of those commonly found issues on these heavier dually pick-ups.Engine was fitted with the common Glow Plug Controller bypass button, as those controllers always tend to fail on these truck, so you shift key forward, push the button for 8 seconds and the truck will start with a single turn of the key. All fluids and filters have been changed and this truck has 0, yes ZERO leaks. Valve covers were just removed, painted and reinstalled with new gaskets. Brand new glow plugs have also been installed. I am not sure on the mileage, I rarely use the truck however it shows 33K on the dash, however these trucks do not show the hundreds. Nevertheless, the sound of the engine alone is enough to show this truck has definitely been taken care of all of its life. InteriorThe interior as seen in the pictures is in really great shape. Brand new carpet has been installed, Seats have been upgraded to more modern and comfortable power seats. Brand new headliner has been installed as we as freshly reupholstered sun visors. Working A/C and all gauges working as well. The dash has also been upholstered. Original door panels have been restored and are in perfect shape.ExteriorThe truck was painted in the last year. There is no rust whatsoever on the body, the only rust visible on the truck is the usual spot, on the seam above the doors. I was thinking of getting this sanded down and repainted before posting but I really don't have time to work on this. The truck is 38 years old so I have to say this is not your "barn find" vehicle from someone's Grandpa which was not moved for 30 years, so expect to see some minor blemishes on the truck but nothing significant. A head turner regardless!!!!!! On the paint, I really wish more attention would have been paid to the thin white stripe around the white area on the sides. I believe the tape may have been removed prematurely so the thin white line is not perfectly straight, however, this can only be seen up close. The truck sits on 6 - BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A Tires with very few miles on them. Truck stands beautifully!!!! Truck bed comes with spray on bed-liner UndercarriageThe undercarriage is in really great condition. There is no rust on the frame nor any members connected to it. After all this is a southern state vehicle. (I will be posting Pics of the undercarriage tomorrow)OverallThis is a really great truck, no heating issues, no it will not turn off on you at a stop sign, truck has been driven in town and on highway with no issues whatsoever. This truck runs straight on the highway and you can get up to high speeds with no worries. These engines were made to last forever and this one has been no exception. Whoever takes this truck is taking a toy I know I will regret in the future. I will be posting more pics tomorrow but feel free to ask any questions you may have!!!
