This rare 1st year 1964.5 Ford Mustang In beautiful condition with only 83,438 original miles on the body, Has a strong running rebuilt 302 V8 matched with a 4 speed (manual) top feed transmission paired with a ford 9" rear end and custom made single piece drive shaft, Drives beautifully and shifts smoothy. Car has always been stored inside since ownership.
This car is originally born and raised in California which reflects throughout the vehicle showing no rust but minor paint imperfections, And some interior issues.
The interior issues consist of, The passenger seat side bolster is separated from the stitching in an area, the headliner has been redone but could use some attention, Front carpet has been removed due to being musty and deteriorating.
Aftermarket:
This Mustang was originally an Inline 6 motor from the factory and since has been swapped to a 302 V8.
The car also originally had a 8" rear end which was also swapped to a 9" to handle the V8 power and torque of the 302 V8.
The motor was rebuilt with unknown internals (sounds like it has a mild cam).
Holley double pump 4 barrel carburetor.
Cobra intake manifold.
Spectre intake filter.
Edelbrock Filter housing.
Edelbrock valve covers.
Hurst shifter.
Oil pressure, Coolant temperature, And Voltage gauges.
Grant steering wheel.
New parts include:
Water pump (and gaskets)
Intake filter.
Fuel filter housing gasket.
Full carburetor rebuild.
Oil change.
Taillight housings, And lenses.
Car comes with:
4 Original wheels and 2 sets of 4 original hub caps.
4 Aftermarket chrome wheels and tires.
Full disk brake conversion kit (without calipers and rotors)
5 lug conversion for front of vehicle.
New badges for all around the vehicle.
New seat trim.
Original rear end.
Coolant expansion tank.
Original steering wheel.
One original grill insert and one newer model grill insert.
All other original parts.
Cons:
Car is not perfect and needs brake work to be road worthy, Interior could use a little love, And tires.
Drivetrain is not original.
Paint is not original but does have original paint code.
Passenger door handle does not work from outside.
