1970 Chevrolet Corvette with L46 Tank Sticker/Build Sheet (NOM)
It is highly recommeded that the vehicle be viewed in person before purchasing.
Additional pictures available if necessary.
Original Build Sheet / Tank Sticker - Reflects rare optioned 1970 L46 with options for AC, PWS, PWB
I retrieved the tank sticker/build sheet myself, have pictures of dropping the tank, and will guarantee that the build sheet is original to this carCurrently NOM Crate Motor - Original Motor is Long Gone & NOT available
Anything related to 1970 GM is rare as there was a strike with a shortened production cycle of January - July 1970
Late build - last month of 1970 production (July 1970)
Great candidate for driver, resto-mod or restore to original. This 1970 convertible Corvette currently has a low mileage NOM crate motor (under 2K miles), headers, Holley carb, aluminum radiator, Edelbrock aluminum manifold, 4:11 gears (1968), original M21 transmission, clean original standard black interior, aftermarket radio, aftermarket alarm system, upgraded distributor, low mileage on the odometer (67K exempt).
CONDITION:
Paint: Current paint is less than ideal, shows age with pealing and cracking yet always gets a lot of attention when I'm driving. Something about that aged paint that people like. Pictures are better than actual and some ghosting on the paint from the car cover. Original color is Laguna Grey per build sheet.
NOM Engine: Crate motor with low miles, casting number 14016379
Interior: Very original, carpet has a small tear on the driver's side, original gauges work, aftermarket gauges operational, radio works, the driver door panel has some cracking and small tears near the bottom but good driver quality, seats in nice shape, original jack (rusty).
Tach: Original GM 6,000 Redline – Unique to L46 cars (350/350HP)
Emergency brake: Works as intended
Body: Looks solid to my untrained eye, checked from underneath on my lift and didn't see any damage
Hood: GM big block hood
Bumpers: Good driver quality with no dents or major issues
1970 only parts: Correct 1970 GM original exhaust tailpipe extensions, front grilles, side louvers
Frame & undercarriage: Frame is solid, zero rot, looks good
Transmission and clutch: Original M21, operates as intended, shifts great, no issues, period-correct Hurst shifter
Air conditioning: Original GM, needs a charge, compressor spins and engages, assume maintenance to fully operate
Power brakes: Operate satisfactory, pull slightly when hitting brakes hard
Power steering: Operates as intended
Tilt: Works as intended (not an on build sheet)
Headlights: Vacuum works strong, move up and down as intended, some of the best that I have seen
Windshield wipers and door: Work correctly
Convertible top: Nice condition, has small slice on driver's side (see pic), the rear window has some separation
Front end suspension: Solid driver quality, upgraded bushings
Rear suspension: Driver quality, no issues
Radiator: No overheating issues, Moon gauge, aftermarket aluminum radiator (original cooper radiator available)
Birdcage: Looks good
Registration: NYS registration / title
