Up for sale is my 1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, 3-owner car, 500 cu. in. engine, automatic transmission, 39,455 original miles, light green exterior color w/matching leather interior, loaded with many options: A/C, power windows, power door locks, power bench seat w/arm rest, power top, power trunk, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, Am/Fm w/power antenna.  Local car for its entire life confirming the accuracy of the low miles.  However, the car does not presently show like a low mile car but shows more like an average condition car with areas that could use reconditioning - specifically the paint (see pictures).

The car had been repainted in most areas many years ago, before my ownership of 11 years, and looks respectable.  However, there are many chips, blemishes, rust blisters/scabs and check cracking all over from age – most of which are on present on the hood and top surfaces and most all of which were touch brushed to conceal and make the car overall look better (see pictures).  Surprisingly, I still get people that complement the car - they love the color combination.

The interior shows well.  The leather seats are original and do not have any rips or tears but do have typical leather cracking and wear.  The carpets and mats are older but still in reasonable condition.   Surprisingly, the upper and lower door panels are not cracked as they typically do on these Eldorados – they are soft and supple as you would expect from a low mileage car.  Unfortunately, before my ownership, this car spent part of its life outside, and for some of that time, with rips in the canvas roof that allowed water to leak inside the car.  The power roof works as it should, is complete minus the canvas and rear window which were damaged and removed (see pictures).  To return to original condition, a new canvas roof and rear window would need to be bought and installed.  I drive the car only in nice weather with the roof down and the boot on, so the lack of the canvas and window is not an issue for me.  The convertible top boot is light green to match the interior and is in excellent condition.  The original canvas roof itself was white.

Most power options work as they should with the exception, but not limited to, the power antenna, power seat moves only back and forth and raises up for 3-ways working instead of 6, the A/C has been converted to R134 but needs to be recharged.  Under the hood is untouched and not detailed.  The trunk carpet kit and mat are in average condition with the spare tire missing.

The mechanics of the car are in excellent condition. It runs and drives nice and strong.   Engine starts up quiet, shifts and drives great. Chrome and stainless are in nice condition, with an outstanding shine like you would expect from a low mileage car, but does have some places with flaws (see pictures).  The front bumper filler panels have deteriorated like they do and the rear bumper fillers were replaced with an average not quite so perfect fitting fiberglass set.  The underside of the car is solid with nice floors and frame bearing signs of original undercoating.  The car was rust proofed when new.  However, there was a grapefruit size or so patch to the floor under the passenger side rear seat - typical when the roof leaks.  The trunk floors are nice and solid.  The area under the rear skirts shows no sign of typical weakness even though they had been repaired at one time (see pictures). The fender heels were repaired as well.  Tires are good, as are the brakes and exhaust.
