The 911 Carrera 3. 0 litre was produced for just 2 years. 1976 and 1977. bringing together several elements from some of their best previous cars. It used the same die cast aluminium crank-case of the famous 2. 7 RS Carrera. but the same 3. 0 litre engine as the new 911 Turbo. which had then just been introduced. It's chassis and engine numbers incorporated the number 6 digit after the model year. ie. 91166 as per the 2. 7 RS Carrera of 1973 (91136***) and the 3. 0 Carrera RS of 1974 (91146***).

In 1976 only 1572 cars in total were built worldwide. of which just 1093 were Coupes. and only 487 were produced as right hand drive.

This car was supplied by AFN of Isleworth on the 28th February 1976 as a right hand drive UK 1976 model 3. 0 Carrera  with Special order Chrome trim around door and window frames and without Sunroof. M 481 5 Speed Gearbox. M 058 Recoil Bumpers. M 429 front fog ligts (Yellow). rear fog lights. M 288 Headlamp Washers. M 568 Tinted Glass with 2 stage Heated Window. passenger side electric mirror and rear window wiper. The interior was specified as Black with Red Dress Tartan to front seat inserts.  

I purchased the car in August 1991 and became it's third owner. The car has been fastidiously maintained throughout it's 39 years and 127. 00 mile life. The history file contains letters from Mr Hardwicke. Service Manager and Keith M Jenkins. Sales Manager at AFN Limited to the original owner. Also included are bills and receipts for servicing/maintenance every year dating back to it's delivery in 1976 as well as the original owners pack and maintenance guide. which provides complete main dealer and specialist maintenance history. There are in total 4 files containing details of the cars existence. including the original purchase invoice. Drivers Manual and Maintenance Record. notebooks itemising servicing. works carried out and expenditure on spare parts etc.   
The vehicle has had no accident damage and an engine rebuild was carried out at 107. 53 miles by a Northwest specialist and it has had the obligatory oil feed camshaft timing chain modification. The car is almost totally original even down to the Porsche branded Blaupunkt radio/cassette. tool case. run flat spare wheel. air compressor. car jack. It has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to 'Street Concours' condition during the past 12 months and is presented fresh from a recent service and MOT.  

The car is now ready to use and enjoy. drives extremely well and represents a rare version of a truly iconic car that will remain highly sought after and collectable. Car will be supplied with a DVLC age related number plate.
