SUPERB 1966 SWB PORSCHE 912 (see video)

My 1966 Porsche 912 has undergone a full restoration by its previous owner. a keen and skilled metal worker.

so that the car. a Californean sun worshipper. is in perfect order throughout.   I have over 600 photographs taken of the restoration on CD. so I can reliably state this 912 is totally rust & body filler-free and in perfect shape.   Everything. and I mean everything. on this car has been restored. including the suspension. brakes. steering. five-speed gearbox and 1600 cc motor.   It has too many new parts to list here. but everything is detailed in the volumous paperwork but includes; Michelin WX tyres. seats. door cards. head lining. dash top. carpets. rubber weather stripping etc.  

All electrical items work perfectly. including the eight track Decca cartridge player. and this 912 drives as new with no vices. as you might expect from a total nut & bolt restoration.   Having said this and after you have viewed the

photographs and video. there are a few minor items to finish off e. g. the right hand chrome headlight bezel needs to be renewed. the off side window winder knob is missing and the new black carpets have yellow-piping which are not to my

taste. but this is being totally honest and the car is truly lovely.  

The engine has been totally overhauled with complete new stainless exhaust system. heat exchangers and twin 40 Dellorto carbs.   Naturally. as you'll see. the 912 is UK registered.

enjoys free historic road tax (until 28 February 2014). has a MOT certificate (until 6th November 2014 with no advisories) and is HPI clear.  

There are some original papers. including a copy of the Californian Title and a 1966 sales

brochure. lots & lots of bills totalling in excess of £12k detailing the cost of restoration and that very iinteresting CD of restoration pictures. I spoke of earlier.  

I am open to fair offers. as the only reason for selling this beautiful little 912. is that a Sunbeam Tiger 260 which I've imported from the States. has turned out to be “as rotten as a carrot!” and I need the cash for the restoration.   The price isn't “out of this world” either. as I am aware the motor isn't the original 912 unit. but is a type-1 motor. which works very well and is a joy.
