Welcome to this classified ad for a 1973 MK1 Escort Estate in stunning sunset red. This car is rock solid with only 62. 00 miles on the clock. I am the 3rd registered owner. We came by this car in Feb 13. after it being laid up for the best part of 20 years. Some light restoration work was carried out to the wing rails. scuttle panel. a posts + front floor pans. The chassis legs. rear floors. rear tubs and load bay are original + rock solid (a rare thing on mk1's). The body was prepped. new steel mexico wings were fitted. door bottoms replaced and the whole thing was professionally re-painted in 2k sunset red. Including door shuts and under bonnet areas and the results speak for them self's. The drive chain had been upgraded with poly bushes throughout. MK2 legs with disc breaks + MK2 rack. it sits on upgraded springs on a set of genuine twin cam steels with 175/70 tyres which sets the mex arches off a treat. the interior is original and in a fantastic condition. with mint seats. door cards and headlining. The under bonnet is also pretty original. with the exception of a recon 1. 3 crossflow witch starts and runs spot on. there is a low mileage pinto which comes with the car if the new owner wants more power. this is a stunning looking car that turns heads. wherever it goes. its taxed and tested and ready to go. and remember next year the tax will be free!
