Up for grabs is this recently imported 1967 Ford Mustang coupe with it's standard 289 cu in V8 and 3 speed manual floor shift gearbox.

To start with I don't import many cars and especially Mustangs as we have a guy not far from me who does Mustangs. but I had to take this one as part of a 2 vehicle deal and it fitted well in the container with the other two larger vehicle I bought.

Good points: the car sits well. runs superb. drives excellent and sounds the bollox through the twin exhaust. Interior is very good. 99% complete and very usable. all glass is good and chrome decent. tyres are very good. some sidewall marks to rears as they are really a bit too wide. but it has been fitted with air shocks on rear to stop this scuffing. It's just had a new water pump and UK halogen headlights. It can sit for weeks and still starts no problem. Underside is really solid. including cowl area. (apart from a bit on floor detailed in bad points) and shows no sign of any previous accident damage.

Bad points/what it needs: paint is poor as it's an older job with chips and scratches. driver floor pan needs replaced. just the bit where your feet sit. as it's soft. Windscreen lower trim missing. needs some bulbs as we've converted the reverse lights to indicators and front sidelights to indicators. a smaller steering wheel is fitted which has no horn button and my hands keep hitting the indicator switch. one rear window handle missing. handbrake pull handle missing (just the handle. the rod is there and handbrake works)  and one seatbelt buckle missing. Thinks that's about it. so you can see most of this is small tinkering. just the floor to weld mainly to gain it's UK MOT and then first registration.

I am offering this at a rock bottom price of £7300 "as-is" or £8500 with UK MOT and registration. I am very busy and have promised a mate I will paint his pickup. so time is my main problem. hence offering the car "as-is". If you want it on the road. you will have to pay most of the money up front as I will need to stop doing what I promised and do this car first instead. So. no "I would take it if it was on the road" please. you can have it that way for a substantial commitment. Prices are not negotiable. and I stress this on this particular car. if you don't want to pay said amounts. then please don't contact me as I'm just too busy for time wasters. dreamers and bargain hunters. You want to come and see it? No problem at all. I can also arrange delivery UK wide at competitive rates. e. g. Essex for about £300. I do not want any swaps. trades. part ex's please. just a straight sale. I don't mean to be blunt. just want to weed out time wasters. you'll actually find me a decent guy to deal with as I just tell it like it is.

Hope all had a good Christmas. and I send my best wishes for 2014.

No part ex and no swaps please don't even ask. I can arrange professional delivery anywhere on UK mainland at very competitive prices. Any questions. please ask. Thanks for reading so far!

Although we are based in Central Scotland. please do not let this be an issue for you as I pride myself on my descriptions and must add that on my other accounts and via magazines. I have never ever failed to sell a car to the first person who travels to see it! If you know what you are looking for. and do decide to come and see. I can assure you the car will be as described here. There is no point in me telling lies about a car. as. quite simply. when you come and see it. you will not buy it if it's not as described. so. a big waste of time for me and a waste of time and money for you. I have no wish to deceive any potential buyer. I've been on the receiving end of that in the past. travelling many hundreds of miles to see something very much different from what was described to me. I aim to change that as a business seller. I'd rather gain a new friend and not sell you a car than sell you something and make a new enemy!! I am an enthusiast first and business man second.

If you want to come and look. I can pick you up at Edinburgh Airport. or Linlithgow or Falkirk rail stations and return you after your visit. I can arrange delivery for you at your cost. London area is about £360 incl VAT as an example.

Sorry to do this folks. but I must add a note here for people who may not think some things through properly. I cannot and will not take a swap on anything. To explain. you want to swap me something. therefore yours is available for sale here in the UK. Why would I go to the bother of buying a vehicle unseen in the USA. take the chance that the seller may rip me off. spend money shipping it. unload the container. pay all the duties. VAT. etc. then simply swap it for something I could have bought here without going to all that bother. not to mention my money being tied up for at least three months awaiting the arrival. This is a business. you go to work to earn your wages so you can eat. etc. I sell imports to do the same. Swaps do not put food on the table. I hope all reading understand where I'm coming from with this. I keep my prices tight so can't pay over the odds for a trade in either. remember I'm the dealer. I can't drop my price to break even then pay you retail for a trade in. no vehicle sales business will ever do that. it's financial suicide. If you want to give me a trade in. I might talk to you. depending on what I'm selling. what you want rid of and what margin I have to play with. BUT. my price is firm in that case and your trade must be of a cost that I can make something on it too. I also wont take a trade of something I can't sell. 'cause if you've been trying to sell it and can't. then I can't either. simple really. I prefer to deal on a straight sale basis. I write this as I am getting fed up with many e-mail and phone conversations. followed by sending lots of pics. etc to interested parties. only to find that after a few days of time wasting. all they really want to do is swap me for something of lower value or something they have had no luck trying to sell. Don't get me wrong. if after a few days of talks and pics. you decide my vehicle isn't for you. that's no problem. that's not time wasting (as long as you didn't tell me it was definitely for you then change your mind!). Many thanks for reading and understanding.
