HI, thanks for looking at my 1966 Mustang. This is a Really Nice and Very Original Real A-Code (which means it came from the Factory with a Performance V-8 Four Barrel Engine,Same Engine that The GT's came with, but now has a More Powerful Rebuilt 351 in the car), with Factory 4 Speed Transmission ( Code 5 on the Original Door Tag), Factory AC (And Works and is Cold ! ), Factory Two Tone Pony Interior (with Factory Original Center Console in Nice Condition), Power Steering (New Pump) and Factory Front Disc Brakes (Now converted to Better Willwood Disc Brakes-they are Expensive !), Vinyl Top, Dual Outside Mirrors, and a Trunk Luggage Rack. This Mustang has all its Original Sheetmetal and Trunkpan and Floorpans. That is very unusual on these cars because any Real Mustang Collector can tell you that most of these Mustangs that are still left are pieced together with new metal and lots of Bondo. The Quarter-Panels, Trunkpans and Especially the Floorpans on these Mustangs were really common rust out and replace areas. Not this One. I even painted the Nice Original Floorpans with POR 15 (rust preventer) to keep it that way. The Doors, Hood, and Trunklid all open and close Very Nicely on this car. Because of the Many Desirable Options on this car and the Condition of all the Original Metal, is why I knew this Mustang was a Great Choice for putting a lot of work and money into. It is also still in its Original Colors of Acadian Blue and White Vinyl Top and its Blue and White Pony Interior. The paint is fairly older on the car and has held up Really Well and still looks better than most of these do, by far. The older paint (still shines great and has no cracking,etc..) also proves how incredibly well the original metal on this car has held up. There are NO Rust Spots or Bubbles anywhere and the car is still Very Straight. It Shows Very Nicely still. There would be no reason at all to repaint this car in my opinion unless you want a perfect concours car. So, its not a perfect car, but is far better than most of these and it is certainly something you would Proudly Show Off at a car show or anywhere else. All of the Chrome (Bumpers, Door Handles, Window Trim, Emblems, etc..) are all Very Nice too ! The Interior is also almost All new. The Dash Pad and Headliner were already Very Nice, but I installed New Correct Pony Seat Covers, New Carpet, New Deluxe Door Panels (which have those cool Pistol-Grip Inside Door Handles and the Deluxe door panels are Way Nicer than the basic door panels). The Deluxe Interior also comes with the MUCH Cooler Shelby-Type Steering Wheel. This one is not perfect (has a few minor cracks), but is very presentable and better than most of these. They are rare and a perfect one is worth a small fortune. The '66 Mustangs also came with the Nicer Gauge package than the '65's did, the '66s have the round gauges, which were an option in '65 that only came on the GT Models. And All of the Gauges work on this car. It also has a Nice Sounding Aftermarket Cassette Stereo with better rear speakers to make cruising more enjoyable than a stock radio would be. Now I would like to explain what has more recently been done to this Mustang. A few years ago, one of the last owners installed a Rebuilt 351 Engine into the car. As Original and Nice as this car is, I would imagine that was done to make this a much Faster Sleeper Type of Mustang, and he did Succeed at that ! Especially with this being a Real 4 Speed car. This car is Much Faster than with the 289's that come in these cars. I know because I am an older guy and have a LOT of these early Mustangs thru the years. The engine is a tight fit and a few things had to be adjusted to make it fit and they did a Great Job. Anybody that knows these cars Notices the Engine Size Difference right away ! It looks really Cool the way it really fills up the engine bay compared to the 289s. It also has an Aluminum Intake and those Cool Aluminum Cobra Valve Covers and I recently installed a New Holley 4 barrel that I bought from Holley. Now, to match the Looks of that big engine, I needed to add Big Sound, so I had a Complete Brand New Fully Welded Performance Dual Exhaust System installed from exhaust manifolds all the way to the tail-pipes. The Mufflers are a little more aggressive, so now the car Sounds as Good as the Big Engine looks. When you are pulling into anywhere, like a car show, everybody knows when they see and HEAR you, that this isn't just a plain old regular Mustang. Its sound gets as much Attention as its looks, and its a LOT of Attention ! Also, there are 4 Brand New Tires and 4 Brand New American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels (less than 100 miles on all of them).I also installed a new Steering Pump, 2 tie rod ends (and a fresh alignment 2 weeks ago), Also, a New Tune Up and Fresh Fluids done Very recently. The Only two things left that I wanted to do, that I haven't gotten around too yet, is to fix a small oil leak somewhere near the rear of the engine and change the Original 4 Speed Shifter to a Much Better Hurst Shifter. These original shifters were never the greatest to begin with, and even though this still shifts ok, its getting a little sloppy (takes a little practice to get good at it) and the Hurst Shifters are SO much better. So, those are the last things that I would recommend to do. This car is Fast and Fun and when you Drive it,you wont want to put it back into the garage. And,boy,do these early Mustangs get Attention, especially when they Look and Sound like This One does. And then when they look inside and see a 4-Speed Shifter and a Two Tone Pony Interior, you get another WOW from them. You just could not buy a nice Mustang like this one to start off with (especially with the Options this one has), and then put the amount of money and all the new parts that I have into this Mustang, for the price that I am selling this car for. I have put a small fortune into this car, but it also now a LOT of Mustang ! Feel free to ask any questions, and all that I ask is, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE only make an Offer if you are 100% Sure about following thru with the Purchase, if I accepted it. I have priced it to sell and the only Reason I am selling a couple of my Collector Cars is for a Real Estate Deal that I am doing and I sincerely do not have time to waste. Thank You for looking at my Mustang !
