Ultra Rare 1969 Ford Mustang "E".Described by Mustang Times as possibly the last one in existence !!!This car is equipped with a 250ci six cylinder and mated to a C4 auto transmission. Rear gears consist of a 2:33 setup to keep the motor at lower rpm's at all times. Calculated MPG is 27mpg.Concours built. I used as many NOS or OEM parts when available when original parts were past saving. Any nut, bolt, screw of any kind were cleaned and treated back to it's original finish as it left Ford !Complete wiring harness was sent off to be restored back to original appearance and for safety reasons, and also a cotton wire loom for the rear harness. The 250ci six cylinder was professionally rebuilt by a local race shop and the C4 transmission rebuilt by a local transmission shop. Both shops have been operating by the original owners for over 40 yrs each. Both well trusted. All glass is original except for the windshield. It was beyond using with many major cracks. A new windshield was purchased and the original Carlite etched markings and logos were etched in professionaly as it was originally. The remaining glass is not in perfect shape but they show very well. As most all Mustangs these things rust when sitting outside for over 20 years. With that I have had to replace some sheetmetal. Torque boxes, floorboards, passenger shock tower, passenger fender apron, rear valance, wheel wells both sides, and lower quarter panels both sides. The blower motor for the heat is new. However the resistor is not and cannot find one anywhere so it does not function. Can provide pictures upon request. As any Mustang owner will tell you, no Mustang is perfect. These were built on a moving assembly line. So this car is not perfect but it is close. Taken to many local shows and have always left with trophies. Have only been shown at one all Ford show. Was judged by an MCA National Judge who happened to be judging my class this day. He looked it over two times and gave it an Award of Excellence. Which means less than 3 points deducted from 200. So, if you purchase this car to show you will be the first to show this car at the National level for it's first time !Too many things to post here but I will be glad to answer any questions before bidding. The tires are Goodyear Bias Ply tires. Just as it came with. All parts of the suspension were also cleaned, sandblasted and treated as it left Ford. All nuts and bolts are concours quality, all suspension parts have the correct paint daub marks in place for Concours shows and classes. Correct as I have the list of all marking for this particular car from Ford. This car was also featured on FordPerformance.com as one of their top 23 vehicles of all time from Ford. Picked by Ford Performance boss John Clor and The Henry Ford Museum curator Matt Anderson. I will try to provide a link to where they talk about this car. Also featured in several magazines and websites. This car was built to compete in the Mobilgas Economy Run that now no longer exist. This was a serious competition among all automobile manufacturers. Professional drivers such as Mickey Thompson and the like drove for the manufacturers. It consisted of an annual cross country run from L.A. to New York to see which vehicles made the best fuel mileage. This was governed by USAC. USAC required Ford to build 96 of these Mustang E's so that they were actually available for purchase to the people. 20 of these were then place throughout the country and USAC would pick on for the actually competition. Since most of America wanted to drag race only 50 of these actually sold. Now this particular one is considered to possibly be the last one in existence !So, please Google 1969 Mustang E there will be a Ford promo picture of a white one from 1968 and big dealership claiming to sell one but it is verified to be a standard fastback by looking at the Marti Report on their ad. Then you will see this one listed all over the internet. It truly is a collectors Mustang as this is sure to be the only one you will find. It is finished and ready for the next person to take it to the next level of competition or to display for the Mustang and Rare car world. Please, if you have any questions please ask now, not after you purchase. There is so much about this car I am sure I have missed some to satisfy curiosity. Please look at all pictures and any links I include. Also, there is zero rust anywhere on this car !!! The sale will be final. No returning will be accepted. There will be no reason to as I am not Walmart. The buyer will be responsible for the shipping arrangements and fee's. I will assist in getting the car loaded and ready to be taken to you. 100% of the selling cost will be paid and in my account before the car will leave the property as I am sure you would expect the same thing. I know the selling price is high as anyone would expect a rare car to be so please contact me to workout an acceptable transfer of money and or ways to make it to my account. Please ask any questions if you have them. Once again, this is a very beautiful car !!! It is near perfect as the MCA judging was concerned. It does has it's flaws and they are on the minor scale. So please consider this if you intend to purchase.
