History of this car

 

An official UK supplied vehicle, our car was first registered on 25.07.2001 fitted with the 24V 3.0 litre “Busso” motor allied to a 6 speed manual gearbox.

 

Only 168 of these cars were imported, and 20 of those were in black, making this a rare car and sure fire collectible.

 

Our car has 4 keepers from new, one a lady, and has always been diligently maintained with a FSH and is presented in beautiful condition. With the earlier generation Spiders, even in less popular S3 and S4 guise now hitting £20k for a car in the condition of this example, the 916 model, especially in V6 form, looks an incredible bargain as they're both rarer and so much better to drive.

 

Mileage recorded is 51,000 miles which is the warranted genuine mileage from new.

 

Body

 

Our car makes a strong first impression. Finished in nero,  the paint is in excellent condition with only a few small age related marks. All the glass and lenses are without damage, and the alloy wheels are in mint condition.

 

The chassis has been rust treated to future proof it as part of our pre-sale preparation. The hood is the original and has a clear rear screen and one small perforation as shown.

 

Mechanics

 

With genuine low mileage and a FSH (last cambelted 1000 miles ago in 2019) this is a really sweet driving potent car with a whisper quiet motor…until you put your foot down!

 

Tyres are recent and the A/C was serviced in 2020. We have also replaced the coolant hoses and engine oil and filter as part of the pre-sale preparation process.

 

For peace of mind, the MOT was renewed 11.09.21 with no advisories.

 

Interior

 

The stunning Momo black leather trim is in fine condition with no discernible wear, ditto the carpets and dashboard. The A/C blows cold and our car is fitted with the wind break option; there are no warning lights and everything works.

 

Boot

 

Appears unused, simply like new.

 

Summary

 

This rapid and sonorous convertible must be amongst the best of this model left, finished in the most desirable colour in our opinion. It wants for nothing and is ready to go, supplied with a large history folder, all handbooks and 4 sets keys and factory emergency tyre inflation kit.
