1973 Mercedes-Benz 450SE

The Mercedes-Benz 450 SE and SEL sedans replaced the 300SE 4.5 V8, which was the last of the 1960s “tall” grille Mercedes sedans. The changes were largely to meet the stricter U.S. safety requirements, and the big bumpers necessitated a redesign of the body. The engine also powered the new 450SL roadster.The 450SE sedans were widely considered one of the best cars for the money in their day, with a 190-hp fuel-injected, 4.5-liter SOHC V8, three-speed automatic transmission, independent suspension and disc brakes all round, and standard air conditioning. The SEL model stretched the wheelbase four inches for back seat passengers.  -seems to be original paint....nice classic untouched vehicle-current registration-no smog needed!!-restore the little items that need to be addressed or drive as is-current owner is a long time Mercedes Benz mechanic...I am assisting this long time extended family member so any question forward and I will then get the information from him-NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!Although in good condition overall, this is a historic vehicle that will naturally show signs of use and age, both mechanically and cosmetically. This wagon is not new and the purchaser should fully understand and accept this before placing a bid or otherwise agreeing to purchase it. A vintage vehicle such as this will not drive or function like a new car, and the buyer should not expect such. This wagon is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. Although I have tried to capture as much as possible within this listing, there will be mechanical and cosmetic details that were not captured within this description. No exceptions will be made for any components, whether mechanical or cosmetic, that are not up to the purchaser's standards.
