1986 Chevrolet Corvette C4 for sale
Current customer rating:
Here we have for sale a really great 1986 Corvette C 4 - this is a targa top and finished in the 2 tone silver (upper) and black (lower) which is my own personal favourite combo for this model.
I'd been looking for a good example in this colour scheme for a while and ended up bringing this one over from the states myself a few weeks ago. Sadly for me circumstances have now changed and I am unable to keep it after all. I have the (clean) title and NOVA paperwork and this will go to the buyer to enable them to be the first registered owner in the UK.
The history I've seen on this vehicle shows it as only having 2 owners from new and it has obviously been well looked after. Its the classic 5.7 motor with the Auto gearbox, paintwork in great shape as you can see. Build sheet shows it is specced with the Z 51 performance handling package. It has a pretty much new set of tyres on rare chrome corvette wheels - I've not seen another set before and they really set the car off nicely.
Another thing that drew me to this one that I thought was really cool was that the previous owner has completed a facelift to the rear of the car so it now has the later (1991 on) rear with the squarer lights instead of the 1 st gen style round ones. They've also got the 90's louvred covers on as you can see from the pictures. I personally prefer the earlier interior for the retro appeal but much prefer the later rear light appearance so this one ticked all the boxes!
Digital Dash is fully working which is always a great eye catching feature on these earlier C 4 s.
Interior is all original, it has the grey leather sports seats. Does have a few usual minor niggles such as the drivers electric window motor is a little lazy and drivers seat shows some wear - but hardly surprising after 35 years! certainly nothing serious and cheaply remedied.
It runs, drives and stops just as it should. It has the Euro/UK light conversion completed (rear indicators in reverse light pods etc) and a full 12 months MOT for the new owner.
I put an american reg plate on it to cover the gap before it is registered - this plate is not associated with the car.
any questions, please drop me a message.
thanks for looking
