We have owned this vehicle for only around a year but have another interesting project taking up our limited time so are re-advertising the vehicle, we have relisted as we purchased the vehicle.

I can confirm that numbers on body, doors, bonnet and engine lid match.

PORSCHE 356 A

Not to be confused with the later B or C model cars.

And yes this is a genuine hand made all steel car not a replica like I've been asked so many times before.

Year of manufacture 1957/58

V5 states 1958 but also have confirmation letter stating 1957/8 from Porsche.

As you maybe aware 356 A models are rarely for sale and when they are the prices are often very high, so could be your chance to purchase a real 356 A at a very low price....they rarely come along at these low prices. please search the world for one cheaper and I'll buy two:)

Not for the purists out there but my plan for the car in the years to come was to create an Outlaw 356 similar to the Emory outlaw cars:

https://youtu.be/WxUcIYXEVdo

The 356 A cars in my opinion are the best looking 356 cars and I believe the ‘A' models are the only true 356 you can outlaw due to the lower stance, lower lights smaller glass etc...the later models the B and C cars have a different styling...if you know the cars you will understand exactly what I mean.

The choice is down to you obviously as there are many routes you could go down, either back to stock, or turned into a fine Tuned track day race car or my option would go full on outlaw road car with a monster street engine and running gear to match with the car stripped down to the bare bones.

The car as you can see is hiding nothing so warts and all can be seen clearly.

The car was bare metalled a few years back to see exactly down to the metal so no heavy filler or heavy paint is hiding anything over this 356 unlike a lot of shiny painted cars that often are covering horror stories, where it's not until you strip them back you often find rotted out and holes everywhere.

Then primer and a layer of Matt flat paint used to protect the body until we decided to finish car some day but mainly to use as is for now.

The body, floors, cills channels etc are surprisingly solid has some dings and dents over but can say that the car hides nothing so it really is good condition to prep the car ready as and when.. I like running the car round as it is to be honest and it certainly turns a few heads.

Running on a lowered front beam, disc brakes up front, drums to rear. BRM alloys, good Bridgestone tyres. A good running 1600 engine with larger alternator. Starts, Stops as it should and drives really well.

Obviously being an early car is Tax Free and exempt from Mot, and the classic insurance although the agreed valuation is surprising good value.

To sum it up this is a rare early Porsche 356 A, that's a very usable cool classic that are rarely for sale at the right price.

If like me you know the prices the A cars go for.... I should do as I searched for years.

The Car is also for sale elsewhere off ebay so we reserve the right to end the advert at any time.
