In 2005 my dad bought this car for my mom for their 30th anniversary. She drove it about 50 miles that summer. As they live in Nebraska, the car went into their basement under a car cover before the first snow and it stayed in that spot for ten years. In 2015 my mom gave the car to me as a wedding present and I had the car painted and the seat leather replaced. It had the “European” Headlamps when my dad bought it and I have always loved the way it changes the look of the car.

After sitting for a decade the Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system was not happy. The fuel pump and filter were replaced along with the injectors. The fuel tank was cleaned out and appropriate injection cleaner was used to clear out any varnish in the fuel distributor without harming the internal diaphragm. The car has ran great ever since.

Since I have only put 10,000 miles in 6.5 years, I service it once a year (Mobile One Full Synthetic), M-B Oil filter, M-B Fuel Filter, and the appropriate fuel injector cleaner.

The 16”wheels are from a 2002 CLK320 and the tires have less than 2,000 miles on them.

All of the repairs, upgrades, and maintenance has been preformed by a Mercedes-Benz trained technician. The upgrades were performed with the idea of owning a beautiful, classic 1983 R107 with some of the tech and convenience of a M-B 30 years newer.

She's a beautiful car that runs, drives and looks great! We planned on keeping the car forever, but as a result of the pandemic it has become necessary.
