It is just a bit more of everything that made them so cool back in the day. Just a bit taller, just (quite) a bit more power, just a bit more exhaust note (not really, it sounds badass, stock it certainly wasn't) and just a bit more tire. If you are looking for one to drive, use & enjoy take a look at this one. It isn't a garage princess though it has all the makings for one. Big thing on this Highboy is that it is SOLID! Originally delivered to a Los Angeles DSO it appears this F250 escaped the ravages of road salt n rust so typical of the breed. We picked it up in Sunny/Dry Eastern Washington. If you want a solid example, you would be hard pressed to find a better one. Obviously the paint is tired and the clearcoat has failed. However, for a driver it isn't too offensive & even gives you a bit of street cred as well as a guilt free off road excursion. There is some minor rust bubbling at the very rear driver's quarter panel. The floors are very nice.Fire this one up and you have absolutely no question that this isn't a stock Highboy. It fires up quickly with an authoritative rumble. It has a nice mild lope to the idle. Engine upgrades include an Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, Brand New Brawler 4 Barrel Carburetor, Ceramic Coated Headers and more. Just for reference...the stock 390 back in 1975 produced 195 Horsepower and 376 ft lbs of Torque. The current power is conservatively estimated at 350 Horsepower with 450 ft lbs of Torque.The 4 Speed Transmission has a compound low gear and the familiar truck clickity-click gear changes.  The clutch feels good and was reportedly replaced with the engine rebuild.The Power Steering is near effortless. Like most of the running gear it appears that the system has been gone through. New hoses & equipment are still clean & appear as they were just installed.The brakes are power, but in 1975 your only option was drum brakes. The power brake booster and master still wear their stickers from the rebuilder. The brakes work with authority not normally associated with drums. Step too hard and your passenger might be introduced to that beautiful black dash pad. The tires & wheels are brand new units. The US Mags 'Indy' wheels measure 17" x 9" and are wrapped with 35" x 12.50" BFGoodrich All Terrain KO2 Tires.So whether you are looking for a 'fun to drive' Highboy or a project to put your spin on this one is a great opportunity to drive it now and tinker later.
