1964 Ford Fairlane 500 is a two-door thunderbolt tribute custom

Up for bid is my 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 thunderbolt custom. It is a really cool and fast car that was used for local car cruises.

This project started out with a super rust free dry straight car being purchased from Arizona in 2013 and brought to the east cost with 66k original miles. It then was customized as it shown in the photos

·        It was completely taken apart mechanically and the small block engine was replaced with a string running street/race prepped period correct 351W that is making approx. 425 HP. It has Ford Motorsport racing aluminum heads and single Holley 4bbl.

·        The transmission is a period correct fully rebuild original Ford Top loader 4 speed.

·        New Hurst shifter and center force clutch

·        The rear was also replace with period correct Ford 9 inch rear 3:50 ratio with trak lock differential.

·        New gas tank and entire fuel system

·        Dual exhaust w flow master mufflers

·        The entire front and rear suspension as well as the brakes have been rebuilt or replaced

·        The vehicle body is all steel and no rust or accident damage whatsoever.

·        The body jams, under hood, under trunk and trunk pan are cut in the correct vintage burgundy

·        All redone interior seats and dash, and door panels (needs headliner)

·        *Has original rubber floor mat /No carpet

·        New door panels

·        Correct vintage dash tachometer

·        Has many Thunderbolt upgrades also as 4- 15 inch painted vintage Burgundy steel wheels. Also comes with 2 front vintage torque wheels

·        Thunderbolt reproduction ducted hood

·        Thunderbolt grill in headlamps with Thunderbolt style aluminum air cleaner 

It went to the track 1 time during a car cruise event and in street trim ran 13 seconds at 100 MPH

In Sum , this is a really cool rust free super straight Arizona 1964 Ford Fairlane  500  non-post car that has several 1964 Thunderbolt custom touches made to the car.

The vintage burgundy paint on the exterior is worn and thin in many places and shown and can be used as is with its sun baked patina or would be stunning if painted the vintage Burgundy.
