1972 Chevrolet Biscayne

You are bidding on a very, very rare, 72 Chevy Biscayne with the factory ordered LS3, B07 police package. If you are reading this listing , most of you are vintage police car buffs and more or less know how the B07 cars were equipped. If not, then you can pull the info up on the internet and it will explain all the info you need to know. There is just too much info to describe in this listing.This was the last year not only for the Biscayne model, but also the 402 Big Block. This car has the factory "U" code indicating 240HP at 345 ft-lbs of torque and dual exhaust. This car was built at the Janesville, Wi planHISTORY OF VEHICLE: Based on several conversations with former owner (3rd) and several retired Police officers, it was determined that he vehicle was ordered from an unknown agency somewhere in the lansing or Kalamazoo area of Michigan. The vehicle based on mileage, did not serve very long for unknown reasons and was sold back to the general public. The vehicle was stored for many years by the 1st and 2nd civilian owners. NOTE: there is no rust rot out on the frame, rockers, floor pans, trunk, firewall etc; with only minor surface rust here and there. I actually spoke with the 2nd civilian owner who is a vintage muscle car collector and after explaining what areas of police equipment were found, he had no idea it was used by an agency. He seldom drove the car and was stored for many years. He replaced the gas tank, fuel lines, fluids, belts and hoses plus a new stainless steel exhaust system. He sold the car to the 3rd civilian owner in Phoenix around October of 2019. I purchased the vehicle in January 2020 and found the following previous areas where police equipment was located. Roof mounted rotator light only(see photo), drivers side only mounted spotlight, rear whip antenna, no rear deck lights, a prisoner cage with very small holes, additional wiring under the dash, as well as small holes supporting the radio control-head, mic and speaker. Also found in the middle of the hood were holes also supporting the famous Michigan "Police Pull over sign" and siren speaker holes on the radiator support area. Michigan State Police told me they used 72 Fury's in the day, but other agencies copied their look.Since I purchased the car I replaced the tires, battery, fluid changes, engine compartment all steamed cleaned as well as the under carriage. Full body with 2-stage original paint, code 57, Golden Brown Poly, with clear coat and buffed out. All holes were lead filled and not bondo. A full lube and alignment was done as well. The vehicle has a clean Calif. title in my name and just recently completed a 3-hour, 150 mile drive to a new residence with no issues other than fuel consumption. The car ran excellent and rode just fine with no over-heating problems. Vehicle was ordered with no A/C, just an AM radio still working with front and rear bumper guards.A few minor things needing attention would be both front doors with need new strikers although Doors close fine and even, gas gauge shows full at 3/4 but does work, emergency brake needs adjustment, passenger side vent cable came loose and (3) very small slits on top of rear seat in the corner. I have extra period correct emergency equipment if new owner wished to convert to a marked unit. The car looks and shows very well with many compliments, but it is not a museum piece.
