OLD FORGE Motorcars is excited to offer this rare and unique mechanically updated Fairlane GT convertible. Owned for the last 7 years by our friend, Ed, who unexpectedly passed away recently. Ed was a successful entrepreneur who retired early to persue his many interests. Next to his family cars were his primary passion -- interesting cars and hot rods. Ed was long time President of the Modtiques. a local hot rod club.

We are honored to have been asked by the family to handle the sale of this Fairlane GT convertible and his 2002 Corvette convertible.

HISTORY:Much of the history of the car and its modifications has been lost with Ed's passing. What we know we will convey as best we can to you.

THE CAR:One of only 4327, 1966 GT and GTA convertibles produced. This example is outstanding in every respect, ready to show or tour. You will not be disappointed! Ed was a perfectionist -- Perfect was acceptable!

MODIFICATIONS:The automatic transmission was replaced with the iconic Tremec 5 speed overdrive manual. Power front disc brakes replace the factory drums. This classic convertible rides and handles better than any stock Fairlane due to the Tom Pfau installed tubular "A" arm, coil over front suspension with rack & pinion steering.

In additioni, the big block 390 received polished dual quads on a polished intake. The cars superior handling and its get-up-and-go performance is accented by a wonderful throaty exhaust notes that will definitely awake your neighbors.
