Relisting this 1966 Austin-Healey.  Previous buyer changed her mind when I found out it was a 1966 instead of a 1967.  I have since also discovered that the owner has a Heritage Certificate showing matching numbers and the engine was rebuilt in the mid 1990s.This car is a nice driver, matching numbers big Healey, a 1966 BJ8, as shown in the picture of the Heritage Certificate, produced on December 8-10, 1965,  The Mark III Phase 2 cars came with all the improvements made during the production run of this model from 1953 to 1967. Improvements include roll up windows, wooden dash, 4 speed transmission with electric overdrive, raised rear end ride height, largest engine at 2912 cc. This is a two-family owner car.  Originally purchased and owned in Mobile, AL, then handed down to a son who lived  in Destin, FL.  During son's ownership, the car was repainted from it's original Ivory White to  Healey Blue and the engine was rebuilt.  The current owner purchased it in 1996 and has been kept in a garage in Mandeville and then Covington, LA for the last 25 years.  All of the servicing on the car during current ownership has been done by BMC Restorations in Kiln, MS, and records are available.  There are 79,757 miles showing on the odometer, not known if that is accurate. Despite the age of the paint, it is pretty and shiny, but has a few scratches and chips, a couple of bubbles, and a crack (pictured) as you would expect after driving the car for this many years. Chrome is straight (except a dent on the driver's side headlight surround) but has some patina, most of which looks very nice when polished (see the picture of the front bumper with a section polished).  About 10 years ago, the floor pans were replaced and the rocker panel on the passenger side was repaired at BMC Restorations before installing a complete new dark blue interior from Sports & Classics.  Few miles have been driven since the new interior was installed and it is still in very nice condition.  The original style steering wheel is in very nice condition.  All of the instruments and gauges work wit the exception of the coolant temperature gauge.  A new Smith's dual oil pressure/coolant temperature gauge is included with the sale.  The radio has an original British Motor Corporation face and there is electric retractable antenna. The chrome, 60 spoke wire wheels are also about 10 years old.  New correct size 165/80-15 tires were mounted on the new wheels.  The tires still look great, but the date code is 4811.  The convertible top, tonneau cover, and top boot are in very nice condition and are pictured. The underside, shown in the pictures, is solid but there are a few places where the paint has been scraped off and some surface rust has started. There are a few dents on the bottom of the frame where the car was jacked. The battery was new in 11/20.  The engine starts and runs very smoothly, idling at 600 rpm.  There is a Pertronix electronic ignition module in the distributor.  The car is still operating with a generator and a regulator, although it's been converted to negative ground.  Hot idle oil pressure is 40 psig.  A compression test shows 140 to 150 psig on all 6 cylinders (photos available, please ask).  The car has been recently serviced with a clutch master and slave cylinder and hose, and brake master cylinder. The car runs, drives, and stops well and is ready to get back on the road with a new long term owner.  I have more pictures, please contact me.  Happy to answer any questions you may have.  Good luck with the bidding.

I have just revised the buy it now and the reserve price for this listing.  One interested party asked a question about the driver's side door gaps.  I called to talk to the owner/proprieter of BMC Restorations, mentioned above, about the gaps.  He said that when the car was painted blue by a prior owner, the rocker panels on both sides of the car were repaired/replaced - the outer panel on the driver's side and the inner panel on the passsenger side.  The new outer panel on the driver's side didn't fit exactly right (as is usually the case) and was not modified to fit correctly before it was welded into place. The rear fender was adjusted to fit the new panel and that made the wider gap at the bottom of the driver's door.  What I said above about the passenger side rocker panel repair was not correct.  BMC Restorations did replace the floor pans, but when he did he saw that the inner rocker panel on the passenger side had been previously repaired with sheet metal. He told me about it, but didn't actually do the work, it had been done prior to repainting by the prior owner.  I have a picture of that if you'd like to see it - send me a question and I'll attach the picture with the answer - I can't add any more pictures to the listing now.  The bottom line is that these repairs are safe, the frame hasn't sagged, they just don't look as good as they could.  These issues can be left as is and driven for as long as you'd like to (the current owner has driven it this way for 25 years), but when you want to repaint the car again, these two rocker panel issues and the bubbles/paint crack on the front shroud will need to be addressed.  BMC Restorations is not certain that they have done all the servicing on the car since purchased by the current owner.  Records available show parts and labor back to 2011.  In addition to what is mentioned above,  it includes water pump, brake wheel cylinder, brake lines and hoses, seat belts, starter solenoid, Pertronix ignition, padded dashtop, radio antenna, LH and RH door glass, speedo cable, and rebuild both carbs.
