With much reluctance I am advertising my mk2 Escort 1600 Sport. The vehicle is a South African import but is UK registered as tax and mot exempt with a UK registration number and I have a UK registration document in my name.The car is an ongoing project that with family and work commitments has meant that I am just not finding the time to finish.It needs the front footwells and tunnel repairing or replacing and some repairs to the lower bulkhead. There are some other small areas on the floor that may need a repair once cleaned up and the rear lower quarters could do with being done at somepoint. The paint work is pretty good apart from the osf wing which was poorly prepped previously so has blemishes over it and there are a few bubbles coming through. The interior is an aftermarket South African fit.It had an unknown fuel injected engine fitted prior to me owning it and my plan was to fit a 1600 crossflow so the wiring will need going through. Included in the sale is a complete 1600 crossflow, 4 speed gearbox and all the ancillaries ready to fit and a few spares.I have also replaced, repaired or refurbished the brakes and fitted a quick rack and mph clocks.I am interested in a part exchange with cash either way or a swap, maybe an on the road 4 door mk2 Escort but would consider other classic cars so feel free to let me know what you have.The project Escort's seem to vary massively in price so I've listed it at about what it owes me as a starting point but open to negotiation.Any questions please feel free to get in contact.Car is stored near Taunton, Somerset
