BMW 1502 / 2002 V5 PROJECT CAR, SPARES OR REPAIR - no engine, gearbox or wheelsI had a "round light" 2002 in London in my twenties and loved it but they are difficult to acquire these days so was in the process of building one - midlife crisis - from an old "rectangular" 1502 as described in the Condition box above.So, for the avoidance of doubt the photographs are showing:01. The car as it was when the previous owner originally had it02. The car as it was sold to me - stripped with it's component parts03. The car as it is now, welded all round with new body panels (where required) except for the "roundie light" nose grill which comes with the car along with a very good set of chrome grills04. Right hand side as it is now05. Left hand side as it is now06. Engine bay and interior all welded where necessary07. Sills, floor pans and interior welded where necessary08. Interior was pretty good but some welding was needed in the interior & boot at top of shock mounts09. "Roundie" rear end welded in bought from Jaymic plus new spare wheel basin welded in10. Separated body panels11. Seats/interior that came with the car (but I do have a restored set of black leather seats - without door cards etc. - available by separate negotiation - only with this car)12. Component elements now in boxes.Here is an opportunity to re-create a classic BMW 1502 iconic early "round light/chrome grill" classic car or go a step further and create/finish it off as a 2002 adding on the waist trim. Frankly, as I am not a purist I was going to take it further still and drop a 318is 16 valve 4 cylinder engine into it with upgraded brakes and suspension (I can't do this but I know a man who can).If you have an interest I have photos pre & post welding just message me if you are interested in seeing them or better still come and see the car. In my experience this will only be a viable project if you are capable of taking on some of the work yourself. Make no mistake this is still a major restoration project and a considerable amount of preparation and finishing are still required before this car can go for painting. Please note, as I didn't strip the car I can't guarantee that all parts are with the car - you are welcome to make an inspection prior to buying but this is a no return item. As I have paid significantly more on this car than the asking price, I am not interested in any offers other than ones more than the start price.
