Thanks for taking the time to look at my 1978 Porsche 911.  This is a beautiful example of a rust free, California car.  A video has been posted below, featuring some additional pictures and some videos while driving.  The car was originally purchased by a physician who owned the car for several years.  He then sold it to a friend, and a few years later, the original owner purchased the car back from his friend where it stayed in his possession until he passed away. In the two years that I have owned it, I have gone through almost every aspect of the car, setting out to create a fun, eye catching cruiser with a weekend racer inspiration. It is truly amazing to drive and grabs attention everywhere it goes.  Be prepared to have lots of conversations!

The interior is in great condition and looks amazing. It was disassembled and items that were in great shape were thoroughly cleaned and refreshed. Other pieces were updated or restored where necessary, and the interior was reassembled.  The seats have little to no wear, and the foam is firm and supportive. The lower dash pads have been replaced with the Rennline one piece aluminum Lower Dash Delete Cover. The center console and rear seats have been removed (still have them) to give the interior a slightly backdated and racier feel. Continuing with the weekend racer theme, a MOMO MOD07 steering wheel, MOMO shift knob and Rennline pedal set were installed. The radio has been upgraded to a Sony Bluetooth head unit, and Audison component speakers. The trunk has been outfitted with a custom, three piece carpet kit. A Brey-Krause triangular harness bar was installed to stiffen the flex of the targa chassis. With the harness bar, and a Rennline strut bar installed in the trunk, it made a drastic difference in the handling. Now, the car stays flat and planted.  Cocomats were the finishing touch to enhance the blend of the cork and black interior.

Onto the suspension. Wider wheels and Bridgestone Potenza tires have been added with 16x7 in the front, and 16x8 in the rear. The suspension has been rebuilt and updated, featuring new axle shafts, Stop-Tech slotted rotors, fully rebuilt and powder coated calipers, stainless brake lines, hard brake lines, Bilstein sport shocks, Rennline tie down mounts, Brembo sport pads and all new seals and hardware.

The exterior of the car is in great condition and shows amazing as well. The car had a full, windows out repaint about 15 years ago and was updated to the base/clear Stone Gray Metallic paint.  During this time, the newer style, 84+ Carrera lower valance and fog lights were installed as well. The sugar scoop headlights have been upgraded to fully rebuilt H4 Euro headlights with all new reflectors, shrouds, Bosch lenses, seals, and an updated LED lighting system. The headlights were then protected with PPF and ceramic coating. The front turn signals and tail lights were cleaned, and rebuilt with new seals and lenses. The front bumper has also been updated with the Euro side marker delete.

The engine was tuned and updated with ignition, timing, valves, CIS system, etc. all being set, making the car very predictable and reliable.  The transmission, having a recent $8k service, including a new clutch, shifts great with no noises or grinding. The oil return tubes have been upgraded to the collapsible, Rauch & Spiegel, billet type. The sump plate was upgraded to a billet Precision Matters unit.  While the exhaust was off for better access to the oil return tubes, the heat exchanger tins were removed and the manifolds were sent off to be ceramic coated. This coating makes the exhaust temperatures drastically lower. Continuing with head reduction, the upgraded turbo valve covers have had titanium heat shields added.  Updates to the exhaust feature a newer style stainless crossover pipe, a M&K pre-muffler, and a Dansk sport muffler.  The exhaust sound is very sporty while the dampening of the pre-muffler ensures there is no drone inside the cabin.

While I've tried to cover most of the highlighted features, there are many more.  Also, while the car shows and drives excellent, there are a few blemishes I would like any potential buyers to be aware of, which are shown in the last two pictures.  There are a few paint bubbles on the hood; one by the emblem and two near the drop on the body line. There are a few nicks and chips as shown, but the paint shows very, very well.  There is a small chip in the windshield, a crack on the dash, and a small bubble on the passenger rear bumper guard.

An extensive collection of documentation, receipts, service records, and photos from the paint process are available to the new owner.

Please feel free to ask any questions or schedule a time to come and take a look.

I am more than happy to hold the car for a reasonable amount of time, and will gladly assist with any shipping, but it must be paid for and arranged by the buyer.  A non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auctions end, and full payment must be made within seven days, unless arranged with me prior.
