1979 Ford F-250

Exterior:  Original Dark Brown Metallic over Light Sand paint that still shines and presents well. Draws a lot of compliments down at the local Co-Op feed store. Hood beginning to fade to a nice patina. Straight overall and presents well. No accidents or bondo, a true survivor. Grille surround and front bumper in excellent condition, actually all the chrome and stainless is in very good condition with no pitting. The racetrack moldings are very nice, a good thing as they are unavailable right now. Inside of box is in decent shape and hasn't been sprayed with cheapo parts-store bedliner like so many on eBay. Truck has never seen salt, but did rust over the rear wheels where mud gathers between the inner and outer panels. Also a spot on the typical area of driver floor that rusts from snowy boots melting. I removed the original torn floor mats so condition of floors could be clearly seen. Nothing hidden or covered up with undercoat or spray paint - what you see is what you get. Underside looks good including cab mounts, cab supports and drop offs, and of course we don't see frame rot here out west. Interior: Stock and original, decent presentable driver condition. Seat has some tears under the cover, dash has a few small cracks. Original headliner in good condition. Driver door panel has a crack. Original floor mat was torn, so I removed it in order to show condition of floors. Gauges(speedo intermittent), heater, wipers, stereo, parking brake all working. The factory tilt steering column is tight and tilt works, but shift collar broke as is typical, and the gear indicator is missing. A new collar and indicator are included. Lights work except turn signals - might want to check turn signal switch when you replace the shift collar. Overall very usable and functional rig.

Mechanical:  Starts, runs, and drives out well. Equipped with 351 V8 with C6 automatic and bulletproof NP205 gear driven transfer case with hubs -  sort of a rolling anvil. None of that cheesy chain-drive full time 4wd nonsense here. No noises or smoke. There are a few small drips, but no major leaks. Truck still had it's original muffler and exhaust when I bought it, I had that upgraded to Flowmaster/stainless, and it sounds great. Hubs turn in freely and 4wd works in high and low range. 10 ply Michelin tires are in excellent condition with great tread and no cracks. Odometer reads 94k miles, but speedo works intermittently, so it's more than that. Here in Montana older vehicles are mileage exempt, and no mileage is listed on title. Currently running off the front fuel tank, rear tank hasn't been used for a while so might want to drain that before using. As with any older vehicle, it will need maintenance and repairs along the way. If you live in a state with very strict vehicle inspections, they will no doubt find something for you to fix, so expect that. These trucks are noted for reliability and build quality, and are fairly simple to work on with good parts availability.

Transportation is at the expense and arrangement of the BUYER, but I will work with your transporter for loading, meet up, etc. Please research transportation options before purchasing. Once sold, I will cancel my insurance, so all liability for damages are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Payment: Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500 non-refundable PAYPAL deposit is due immediately at auction end. The remainder is due within 3 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Payment by verifiable funds such as a WIRE TRANSFER or CASH in person before pick up, whichever is first.
