ExteriorInteriorEngineGreetings. If your heart is racing, thats perfectly normal. Looking at a beautiful 63 Galaxie 500XL convertible has that effect on many people, so don't be alarmed. What should alarm you is if you don't bid to win, your neighbor might get this car. All kidding aside. Lets take a walk around this 17'.5" long work of art. From the front fenders to the tailights you'll note how true and straight the panels are. Covered in Fords beautiful Heritage Burgundy, it really highlights the lines on this car. The bodywork is phenomenal. It is unknown when the car was repainted in its original color, but I'd describe it as show quality. It has a few nicks and scrapes of course, but they are very minimal and discreet. Any car that actually get driven will endure these minor blemishes. During inspection, I was unable to find any cancer in the car. The quarters, doors, fenders, floorpans and trunk are all solid. I see zero signs of any hidden secrets. Check out the pics of the trunk and the floorpans. I have several more photos if you'd like to see more. Considering most convertibles are virtually riddled with cancer, this is an excellent example of what you want to buy. The car is powered by a strong running 390 equipped with a 4bl and dual exhaust. Presumably the automatic transmission is a C6. (Sorry, I'm not a Ford guy ☺) I have personally driven this car with the top up, with the top down, in the sunshine and in the rain. It drives true and straight with very little steering input. One hand on the wheel, the other hand on your lady's knee and you'll both be in paradise. Power steering and power brakes makes driving this behemoth an absolute joy. Speaking of power amenities, the convertible top is also power and works effortlessly. With the exception of the clock and the temp gauge, all of the factory accessories work as they should. Radio, fuel gauge, wipers, courtesy lighting, turn signals etc. This is a turn key, get in and go drop top. All of the exterior brightwork on the car has excellent luster to it. Its an easy 8 on a 10 scale. The rear bumper chrome is also excellent. The front bumper chrome is nice but not near as perfect like the rear is. All of the glass in the car is original to the car including the windshield. All windows roll up and down as they should. The bucket seats and rear seat have zero rips, tears or imperfections in them. The carpet kit has been replaced and whoever installed it did a marginal job. If it were my car, I'd throw a new carpet kit in it, but I've been told im a little OCD. I am selling this car on behalf of a client of mine. I do not own the car, however I have given the car a full safety inspection in my shop, (including the undercarriage while on my lift) as well as a thorough road test and finally a detail job. The owners have a clear title in hand. This car is priced in the blue collar price point for working folk like you and me who like a good value for our dollar. Leave the overpriced big city auction cars to the rich kids.
