CHEVROLET CORVETTE 1975 C3 - THE ULTIMATE WINTER OPPORTUNITY.

This 1975 T-top Corvette came in to the UK 2 years ago and is still un-registered. All the necessary papers are with the car including the Custom's C&E 386 showing that all the Duties & Vat are all paid in full. plus the original Title Deed.   To register the car it requires an MOT and then taxing for 6 months. even the required form to send to DVLA is also in the folder.

Absolutely all paperwork is complete. in order. and with the car.

The young guy who imported the car did so privately via Ebay. com and he has simply lost his parent's storage space as well as now looking to buy his own house. During the last couple of years I think the bulk of the MOT work has been done and the car honestly is now an opportunity for someone to get on the C3 ladder at low money.

THE GOOD POINTS. So. the car is a 1975 T-top Corvette with the 4-speed manual box. All the usual bits are there. p/s. p/b. titl/tele. electric windows etc. The interior is quite up together with decent seats. decent door cards and way above average carpets. The dash & dash top are really superb as are the centre console & hand-brake surround. plus there's a new centre arm-rest cushion in place.   The underside of the car appears to be very good. really excellent frame etc. and the full exhaust looks to be quite recent. I think the park brake's been done and it holds the car really well.  Wipers & horn work. The foot-well vanity lights have been updated to LED units and work well as does the one in the rear of the car.  The headlight lifting system has been gone through and both headlights raise & lower on command. I think the wheels are super rare 10 spoke Turbovecs and they are shod with a matching set of Goodyear Eagle P255/60/15 white lettered tyres and all new chrome centre caps. All the brake rotors appear to be recent and the car has just had new flexy hoses. The front callipers look like recent stainless units with all new pads and I think the car has had replacement trailing arms not too long ago.

THE ENGINE IS NUMBER MATCHING AND THE CORRECT CODE CHA IS CLEARLY VISIBLE.

It is fitted with tubular headers. plus a quite rare Wiend ali hi-rise inlet manifold with a 600 Holley topped with a matching Wiend air cleaner. The car is a first time starter and runs well. You can stand this Corvette for weeks and it does not flatten it's battery. starting on the first turn.

THE BAD PARTS. The front callipers appear to be recent. if not new. nbsp;with all new pads etc. but the rears were leaking. There are two stainless callipers supplied with the car which I'm assured are recent rebuilds. both with recent pads. There is currently no stereo in the car and the radio mast is missing. The driver's electric window works but the passenger's only works when it feels like it. The two door main seals are missing. The paintwork is good enough for an entry level car that you want to just run around in. but you'd certainly not take it to a show. Oh. and before you ask. the 1975 VET plate is not on the car. it's just for show!

So there you have it. a C3 to bring up to scratch over winter. then MOT. then register. I really have been as honest as I can be about this car and will answer any questions that you may have. I've started the bidding at a really low £3750 and I really think it should do closer to £6000 or thereabouts. maybe even more. But it is definitely on sale from £3750.

ENTRY LEVEL C3's ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN AT THIS MONEY AND THIS ONE CERTAINLY IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SOMEONE. AND I THINK YOU'LL AGREE. C3's IN GENERAL ARE SHOOTING UP IN PRICE!
