Thank you for looking at my gorgeous 1964 Sting Ray Corvette. I am a collector and I have cherished this fine example for six years, no expenses spared. It's time to part with it so that I can enjoy something different.This car is fully restored, paint, interior, rebuilt engine, rebuilt gearbox (Muncie 4 speed - the "rock crusher"), all rebuilt gauges.This year I've had the alloy wheels diamond polished and lacquered which was almost as expensive as buying new wheels! New stainless steel dual exhaust fitted this summer with Magnaflow mufflers. It's a lovely sound, fruity and burbly and just delicious, without sounding like a hooligan.In the last month I have spent about a Grand replacing the rear wheel bearings and going through the brakes replacing anything that was not quite right.The engine is sweet and crisp and pulls like a train. To the best of my knowledge, it is the original 327 cubic inch and is around the 300 (gross) horsepower output. That is enough for this car. It is fun to drive and extend without feeling that you are getting beyond the drum brakes (power assisted of course). It will cruise happily at an indicated 70-80 mph.It is lovely underneath. I have a lift for you to inspect it.The car needs nothing. I am a collector, not a dealer. I am not interested in part exchange and I cannot offer finance.
