1956 FORD F-100ONLY 17K MILES!!100% SOLID AMERICAN STEEL!!RARE POWER STEERING!!NO RESERVE!!MANY MANY PICS AND VIDEO!!SCROLL DOWN!!Little did we know back when trucks were trucks that they would ever become vehicles we collected.  The trucks back in the day were built to be utilitarian, built to be strong, that's why manufactures had tag lines such as "Ford Tough.....or.....Like A Rock" because trucks needed to be just that.  Nowadays, trucks, although designed to be useful, come with as much creature comforts as a Rolls Royce but yet are made with cheaper and weaker metal then ever before.  Metal that is prone to rust or weak to the point that if you pick up some driveway rock you run the risk of puncturing the metal.  There was a window of time, however, where trucks were built right and built to withstand all types of torture and stress, and this 1956 Ford F100 was built not only in a way to withstand any type of beating but somehow designed in such a way to be one of the most sought after trucks Ford has ever produced.  Little did Ford's designers know when designing this truck with the wrap around windshield and step side bed that this style truck would become timeless in every way and become the most desirable from all other designs. As the story goes on this particular F100 offered here today, it was purchased new for light duty farm work and distributing hay on the land.  Very rarely was the truck off the property except to drive into town.  That's why we believe the miles to be accurate on the odometer.  The original owner liked the step side because he could have multiple guys standing on the step distribute hay on the grounds of the farm.  Regardless how it was used, you can tell by the condition of the body and the frame it was lightly used and well preserved.  Please read on about the condition and restoration of this F100 and view the many photos and video I have provided.  Thank you!Exterior:The exterior of the truck is in immaculate condition and presents itself very well.  56 was the year of the wrap around windshield.  The ground up restoration was done about 20+ years ago and still shows in excellent and well kept condition.  The body appears to be all original sheet metal and is extremely solid.  The underneath is solid and original.  The chrome and bright work is brilliant and shines bright.  The original color is the code "R" for torch red, but has been repainted to its current color.  Since the restoration the car was only driven to local shows and events and was often used at wineries when they had special events.  There are some very light scratches here and there and some of the running board rubber inserts need to be pushed back in and fastened.  All the glass is in excellent condition and all lights work as they should.  The rear wood has been replaced and finished along with chrome inserts.  Please view all the photos and video and let me know of any questions you may have. Interior:The interior was tastefully done and upgraded to be a little more stylish and comfortable.  It is the right color combination which ties the exterior color theme to the interior.  Some great features have been added such as modern day seatbelts, gauges, turn signals and an upgraded sound system.  Also some creature comforts such as carpeting and upgraded bench seats.  However, the most important creature comfort is the factory power steering.  NOBODY got this option back in the day but the next owner will be grateful the original owner was smart enough to check that box off at the dealer!!  Please view the photos and video and let me know of any questions you may have.Drive-Train:The drivetrain of this vehicle is the original 312 Y block with the two barrel carburetor.  It comes with the 3 on the tree and a 3.73 gear ratio.   The charging system is 12V.   The engine was completely rebuilt in 2015 with documentation and all the brakes, linings and hardware was replaced too.  The tires are fairly new and the clutch was done prior to 2015 and was adjusted in 2015 while engine was rebuilt.  Dual exhaust was added and it sounds beautiful.  This truck is completely road worthy and ready for show or go.  Please let me know of any questions you may have.In Summation:If you're looking to own a vintage truck, the 56 F100 is the perfect choice.  It is one of the best designed Ford trucks in history.  Love or hate the color, you can't deny the condition.  All metal survivor that you can tell was well preserved.  A truck like this will never decrease in value and any tinkering will only make her more valuable.  Thank you for viewing and bid with confidence..NO RESERVE...  The current owner is up in age and sadly doesn't have time to enjoy the truck.  He said and I quote...." Its time to see her go and be enjoyed by its next owner as I enjoyed her for so many years......It was a good run!"Payment:I require a $1000 non refundable deposit immediately after auction ends.  Final payment due within 7 days.  Final payment is due in certified funds.  The truck will remain in storage until payment has cleared and buyer arranges for pick up and/or shipping.  Any questions please let me know.PLEASE SROLL DOWN TO VIEW MANY, MANY PICTURES AND VIDEO OF THIS F-100!!CLICK ON THE PHOTO BELOW TO VIEW A VIDEO WALKAROUND OF THE F100!
