NOTE:  I have changed the information below because it was transmission fluid leaking and not the rear seal as my father told me.  I added fluid and transmission shifts fine now. This is my father's 1978 Chevrolet C-10 that he purchased new in December of 1977. He started restoring it about three years ago and sanded the entire truck inside and out down to the metal. He cleaned and primed it and my cousin, who used to paint show cars, painted it for my him. Apparently my father did not clean the body very well in a few places that are shown in the photos and the paint has bubble up. There is a spot of rust at the bottom corner behind the drivers door and a small spot (about the size of a nickel)) of surface rust on the left side of the bed. The truck has power steering, power brakes, bed liner, dual exhaust and a 350 engine. My father is no longer able to drive so we are selling his truck to help with his long term care costs. Here is all that I know that needs a little attention on the truck:1. The transmission was rebuilt about four years ago by a friend of my father that is a retired mechanic.  Truck was not driven much after the transmission was rebuilt because he had a smaller truck he drove as his daily vehicle.2.  Leaks transmission fluid not oil from the rear seal as originally posted.  I was going on what my father told me and he was incorrect about the leak.  I checked fluid and it was really low so I added fluid and transmission shifts right away and drove fine.  I will pressure wash underneath and try to see if I can find and fix the leak.  3. Needs tires4. May need the front end looked at or it may just be the worn tires.5. Apparently my father did not hook up everything correctly when he put the dash back in because the blower, radio and instrument lights are not working and they were before.Mileage is unknown because at some point he replaced the instrument panel with a working used one.
