Porsche 2.8 RSR / ST outlaw,hotrod project .

Offered for sale is my Porsche 911 2.8RSR project.I personally imported this car earlier this year from America along with a few other interesting Porsches. I have commissioned a few Porsche builds over the years and just love the long bonnet RSR look and I know its key to start off with a good base vehicle.I purchased this from the famous American race legend Dick Barbour. For those of you who haven't heard of him he raced at le-mans in his Hawian Tropic 935 along with Paul Newman. He's a real gent to deal with and has become a good friend.He purchased the car some years ago as a complete running and driving, quick hotrod, outlaw  car as seen in the last pictures prior to strip down.The original car was a rust free 76 non sunroof 911 originally supplied to Japan. The car had had many upgrades and work carried out in Japan by a well known garage including the full long bonnet conversion. The rear wide arches are steel as are the front wings and bonnet. As you can see the car looked great in its original colour of Sienna . The car was a real gem hence why it was purchased by Dick. His intention was to create a singer style car in Mexico blue with an orange lambo coloured leather. These are not pictured but the professionally trimmed seats and a roll of leather are included. He had this done at a cost of $5000.The car was striped back to bare metal and sent to the paint shop where the car never got started. basically the garage were claiming for work that hadn't been done. So after a lengthy battle the car came back to Dick Barbour racing. Due to Covid etc in the states it was agreed to sell the car as is . This is where I came in. The engine is a 3.0sc engine with a 915 box. It has RSR headers and exhaust.It also has upgraded brakes and suspension. The car is completely rust free. When I purchased the car it was in bare metal. Dick kindly had a coat of black primer applied to seal the car and protect it whilst shipping.The car is complete in component form. It was a running and driving lovely car. The car is in my garage and is now uk registered,The only thing that is missing is the front bumper and the roll of orange leather. This is on its way over with another car I purchased from him.This is a very easy project. Get it painted put it back together over the winter and you have a awesome RSR replica or an ST .The engine and box are worth £15000 alone. A rust free uk arched none sunroof car £25k. This is a great opportunity to put there own stamp on a car without spending thousands on a tired old shell.Also it has great provenance being owned by Dick Barbour.Please only serious inquires please.
