1971 Chevrolet Camaro Red with White Stripes, and a 4-Speed selling at "No Reserve"                   This 1971 Chevrolet Camaro was purchased from a gentleman less than a mile from my house in Kenosha. It was last registered and on the road 22 years ago in the late 90's prior to it being placed into storage. This prior owner had made the purchase from his buddy who had it stored all those years ago. He had only owned it about a month before I spotted it in his driveway and made a deal with him.     If you simply double click on the main picture of the auction page then all 24 pictures will be able to be viewed in the larger size by clicking the arrows on each side of the larger pictures.     With each passing year it is becoming increasingly more difficult to find any Camaro from the 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1973 second generation years. I will explain everything I found out from the previous owner at the point of purchase. One thing I feel certain of saying is that all the muscle cars from this era are one solid investment in this economy.     I am a 442 guy and really never learned anything about Camaro's, but I've always felt this body style was one of the coolest Camaro's ever. I always liked the split front bumper look the most. I was told the engine was a new 383 Stroker Motor that had very little miles driven on it, since it was installed before it was stored away. There is an Edelbrock Aluminum Intake Manifold that was painted Chevy Orange. The guy I bought this Camaro from placed a brand new AVS 2 Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor on this low mileage stroker motor, and it fired right up. There is also a brand new air cleaner with a brand new air cleaner filter. This Camaro starts right up, and has headers along with newer larger size dual exhaust pipes with dual Flowmaster mufflers, so it sounds great too.      There is a nice set of  Red Accel Hi-Temp Super Stock Spiral Core 8MM spark plug wires with a Mallory ProMaster ignition attached to the firewall on the passenger side for maximum spark. I'm pretty sure the master cylinder is newer, and the front disc brakes just had new disc brake pads. The heavy duty battery was purchased brand new in April of 2021. I was told there is a 12-bolt 4.11 posi-traction rear-end, so this is more of a car to just cruise around the neighborhood. With that high of a rear-end gear this Camaro was just made to GO FAST! Not to go highway cruising! To make this Camaro okay to drive at constant high speeds the rear end would need to be changed to a lower gear.     The prior owner did not know if this is a true Z-28, but it does have the 150mph speedo, the cool rear spoiler, the Z-28 white striping, dual sport mirrors, and the Z-28 wheels. I was told it has the rare M-22 RockCrusher 4-Speed manual transmission that shifts in all four gears very nice. The clutch feels good to me as well. I've only driven this Camaro around the neighborhood and down by Lake Michigan a couple miles away with my 92-year old Mother to shoot the body pictures. I watch my Mom almost every day while my brother is at work, so I don't have any spare time to work on any cars right now. That is the reason for this sale. I did notice that the speedometer was not working, so the new owner will need to have that looked in to.     If you are looking for a 100 point show car then it would be best to look somewhere else. The body is in good condition for a car a half a century old. The only spot I saw some slight imperfections is the spot I showed a close up picture of behind the right passenger door. If the next owner would like to own a show car they can bring it up to the next level. I saw no bubbling anywhere along either lower side of the car, so the paint can be considered as driver's quality.     The winning bidder of this Rare Red Camaro will most likely have endless thumbs up wherever they drive. You should have an outgoing personality to drive a car like this, because everywhere you go people will be attracted to you like a magnet. I haven't counted how many times people came down on my property to ask me if I would sell this car. I simply told them it was going to sell on eBay, so they will have to wait until it appears up for auction. This is a great car to show up at your local town cruise nights or for attending the local weekend car shows.    This Camaro comes equipped with Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Dual Sport Mirrors, Bucket Seats, Dual Exhaust, and best of all it has a 4-speed with a console. The console is a little bit loose, but the interior really looks nice as seen in the pictures. The carpet is in good condition, and there is a set of four deluxe black carpeted floor mats that were just placed on the floors in preparation for this sale.      There is a set of four of the original Z-28 sport wheels with a full set of four Defender SRX+4 Radial 60S raised white lettered steel belted radial tires, all four center caps, all four beauty trim rings, and a set of 20 brand new chrome lug nuts. The front raised white lettered tires are size P235/60R15, and the rear are P255/60R15. Just about the perfect tire size set up for a Camaro like this. There are a nice pair of heavy duty air shocks on the rear. The air access valve for the rear shocks was placed through the trunk plug on the right side of the trunk floor inside the trunk.     The trunk floor still looks in great shape. You won't really find an original trunk floor as nice as this one on many 50-year old muscle cars. The trunk floor was coated with AC Delco Black and Aqua spatter spray to make it appear factory correct. There is a nicely detailed jack, jack stand, bumper mount and crow bar with a full size spare inside the trunk. There is a newer pair of rubber door seal gaskets included inside the trunk for the new owner to install if they would like.     I never had the car up on a lift, but from what I saw looking under both sides of the car the undercarriage, floors, and frame all still look in good condition from everywhere I inspected. It is very hard to find a 1970's muscle car in this condition that has been in existence for over half a century.       The headliner looks in good condition as well as the dash pad. The sport steering wheel is still in very nice condition. There is an AM/FM Cassette Stereo, but I don't know if that is a factory original stereo, because I don't know enough about Camaro's. Apparently the stereo is not hooked up, but there is a pair of Sanyo 6X9 inch speakers attached to the rear package tray. I didn't see any speaker wire attached to the rear speakers, so the stereo preference will be left up to the new owner. This dash was not cut up like what was typically done in the day to fit aftermarket stereo's. I saw no evidence of this car ever being involved in any accidents. I am selling this Camaro with an open, clean, and clear title that was issued in my name from the State of Wisconsin.      I recently saw a triple Green 70 Z-28 at a swap meet a couple weeks ago for sale needing a complete restoration where just about every panel on the car was dented and rusted and the seller was firm on $38,000. He had listed on his piece of paper that he is in no hurry to sell, because he knows these cars just keep going up in value. It's becoming very hard to find any of these classic muscle cars up for sale in decent condition any more.     The J.D. Powers Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has the 1971 Z-28 Edition with a 350 and a 4-speed listed at $54,685 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices.    The average condition value is $40,840 which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer!           The numbers don't lie! These type of Camaro's with a 4-speed are very valuable and highly sought after. Many times these muscle cars bring much higher prices crossing the auction block at live muscle car auctions.      These second generation 1970-73 Camaro's have consistently shown to escalate in value with each quarter. What you see is exactly what you get!      I tried to describe all of the pertinent information, so any potential bidder can make the most informed decision possible before placing their bid. If there is anything else you feel that may have been missed, please ask any questions you like. All questions will be answered in a timely fashion.      This Cool Looking Camaro is being offered at "No Reserve" on a quick 3-day auction and will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening at 8:00pm Eastern time, 7:00pm Central time, and 5:00pm Pacific time. The PayPal deposit is to be paid within 24 hours, and the balance wire transferred within 72 hours. As soon as the funds are clear the title issued in my name through the State of Wisconsin will be sent out to the winning bidder by U.S. Priority Mail that day.      This is a prime opportunity to pick up a sweet looking muscle car to be the main attraction in your neighborhood or at the local car shows in your area. I do have some great shipping contacts that I will be more than happy to pass along to the winning bidder.                                                    Thank You for taking the time to view this auction!                                                                         Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!
